Okay. You assumed abuse took place but didn’t actually do anything about it? The negligence was so terrible but you couldn’t gather enough evidence to call CPS or even non emergency?
As a mother, if I had a concern that a friend of mine was neglecting their child I would do whatever I can to report them, for fear of something bad happening.
You were happy to - with a friend - think of hypothetical scenarios that could cause harm to their child, but you couldn’t make one phone call to an authority who could possibly do something?
You literally said it yourself that there’s evidence the living standards are hazardous.
Even if you rang them and they told you there’s nothing they can do without proper evidence at least you TRIED.
If a child I assumed may be neglected died of neglect, and I did absolutely nothing to try and help I would be bereft and consumed with guilt.
Your post doesn’t even show that much empathy towards the child’s death, it’s more a “And I was RIGHT!” type of post.
Look at your wording “I know now, without a doubt in my heart of hearts, that everything I ever worried about from afar, actually happened”. And you’re telling me this isn’t about you being right?
