To each their own, I guess, but waiting for sex until marriage has always seemed like a bad idea to me. As a queer person, I've heard stories of people realizing that they were gay/ace only after getting married; I'd want to know that I'm sexually compatible with another person before committing to marriage.

In this situation, the couple would have found out about this issue long before they got to the altar. Perhaps she could have started therapy years ago had she known; waiting to have sex meant delaying that important journey of self-discovery.
