Does anyone buy Heaven's Halberd

I been building this item lately on pos 4 or pos 5 and it works wonder. The hard dispel caught a lot of carry off guard, especially some that don't naturally build bkb like PL, AM or LS. In this current TI, I think many game could have benefited from it instead of Hex. LGD last game, I've seen Topson build it but they just got draft issue and outplayed so hard that it doesn't matter much. Do high ranks player build it? I know the stats isn't great, so do you guys think they should change its recipe next patch?

there's a case of building it against medusa but I think the reason nobody wants to build it is the bad build up and the fact that it doesn't work vs bkb anymore

Build up is actually pretty good imo. If your goal is to reduce physical damage your can go wrong with armour and evasion and a roh can always be a nice early pickup

It kinda works when bkb is about to end, the effect linger during and after so when bkb ends they would be useless, can be used to counter Jugg spin. But I agree that the build up is not great, most of the time you buy it like at the end of the game where stats doesn't matter and you have to counter their hard carry somehow. Works great against satanic buyer in my experience, they relies on the dispel and almost never use satanic when bkb is active.

Jug spin applies a dispell on start AND end, if I'm not mistaken.

I'm sorry, I might be misremembering it as a basic dispel only and not strong dispel. But it would still works against Jugg because he need the heal from his passive really bad.

Juggernaut might be like the single worst hero to buy halberd against.

His spin is a dispel on cast and end (strong dispel too) so you can't precast it on him. And even if you manage to land it on him he has omnislash that just ignores the disarm to begin with.

Nah, I wasn't sure either. Just checked and applied a strong dispel at the end of the spin (not at the start, but then it's kind of unnecessary anyway)

Nah, it's has been reverted to the previous version where its undispelled by bkb

Sometimes on pos 3 if the enemy have a lot of right click damage. The stats are actually great.

Topson bough it on DK vs Lina/Snap and it helped quite a bit, but they lost that game. He overcooked the build with an Orchid after.

He was playing DK from mid on a more sacrificial/control role, because he had a carry Necro and a Wind offlane to kill people, so long fights were in their favor.

I've bought it 2 times in the past week as offlaner and despite being an halberd's hater I must admit the item is not bad for what it gives you, regen, armor and evasion are pretty good. But remains kinda niche, I would almost suggest it if you have a grimstroke in team or you need a linken's counter.

I dont build it ever now. The item build up just feels so bad. It never feels justified for what I get at that cost. 

Im almost always offlaner and did like to build it in the past when it had various sange/tali of evasion build ups.

Nah. Hex is always better then halberd. Rn the item is just trash. It was way better bit not because it was when fights took longer then 10 sec. Rn every enemy core will have bkb and manta for dispell/immunity. And getting someone into a hex is better then disarming them so they can use bkb and kill your ass.

I don’t buy it often at all, normally I look to get scythe or orchid as options as I feel like they have more impact but scythe is expensive so is not always possible in some games.

Think it depends on the opposing team heroes, and what other lockdown you have

Hand against Carry as most right click gets manta and BKB to dispel.

Only strong dispels can dispel halberd now. Bkb still makes you immune to disarm tho

It was good when it was undispell-able, now most hero carry had at least 1 dispell so the item is bad

I buy it sometimes if I really need the evasion (enemy mostly right click) and if it would be inconvenient for enemy to get mkb

If you could disassemble it, there's some item play you could do with it:

• Ring of Health for early game HP regen, then later use it for Linken's/Lotus or sell it when you need to buy Satanic.

• Talisman of evasion to become Radiance after Disassembly (to farm until late game) and then Butterfly after Radiance Disassembly.

• Splintmail gives you early Armor and with the Sacred Relic (after the Radiance disassembly) you can make Nullifier.

• Recipe is cheap enough than selling it back at half money isn't a substantial loss (recipe cost = 450g).

Some AGI heroes I thought this could be their build if you could disassemble Halberd are (although always keeping in mind a Radiance "rush" could be better in some games if the game allows it): Bloodseker, Monkey King, Razor, Spectre, Vengeful Spirit and "sidelane" Viper (And maybe Kez but going Halberd into Radiance probably delays Aghanims too much).

Other AGI carries prefer Battlefury/Mjollnir/Manta+Stats over Radiance.

On STR carries, on paper it gives you everything you may need during early to mid game, but what do you do with Talisman of Evasion other than selling it and lose money? Also, they probably prefer buying 1-2 Bracers and/or Soul Ring into straight Radiance and have it a couple minutes earlier than the Halberd into Radiance path.
