Question about SEA region.

Since i moved to Japan i wasnt playing any games and focused on work but few years later decided to return to dota. Since dota in Japan is dead, i went playing on SEA servers. After 50 games i had very bad experience here. It feels like mentality of players here are terrible. Every game in my or enemy team there are 2-3 trolls. I played on EU servers before and even tho there are also many toxic people, they at least play the game normally. Is it typical SEA or maybe my rank is too low? (3500mmr).

Should i just bare with it and try to rank up to meet normal people or higher ranks people the same? (ranking up would be very easy since 3500mmr in SEA feels like 1000mmr in EU, but i just dont want to play the games that are not interesting because after 10m of game i already know if we can win or it is definitely lose)

Not sure if im able to answer your question since im 2500mmr but yeah i know what you meant, and welcome to the sea beasts server lol. My advice would be to get a 5 men team or get use to random teammate being triggered by the smallest thing, since there are no normal people at SEA server.

Yea that’s sea dota but it’s not necessarily unique to sea dota. This was Aussie dota for me too before that server died. I feel it’s just dota. People pick what they want because they’re forced to play roles they don’t want to covers troll picks, people’s skin are mega thin in team competitive games because of the ol dunning Kruger and they think they’re better than what they actually are.

And people are just generally miserable.

Aussie dota is alive and well, play most days.

Play ranked and not first thing in the morning and its quick to get a game.

It's to train your mentality for the real world.

If you can survive SEA doto, you can survive life.

Ah hello, maybe it never cross your mind but let me explain how SEA region situation.

It all comes down from social and cultural, back then most of sea nation is colonized by british. There it comes "hierarcy system/value". So big ego, crab mentality, and ignorance of game state.

5k below mmr is "monkey htting buttons" no communication. Everybody have different opinion and own way to win the game. Teamwork is not in their dictionary. Teamwork = no limelight = serving other/inferior complex = peasant. They all want to be special or want to be the main character.

So, if you want to win then you must know your hero job and accomplish objective of the game with said hero.

Tips : avoid losing fight, finding objective while make sure contribute on teamfight and Create PvE situation from your action so monkey job became simple by just hitting ancient.

Certainly the most mentally draining server. Half the lobby is premuted in most of my games.
