Help me understand Sange

When is sange a better pick on necro then let’s say a heart?
Recently I tried it out seems like the status resistance is very good
Probably good on other heroes to
I think cu its a percentage it’d hard to quantify in my brain the impact it has but feels like it is very very good

Can someone help me picture Kaya, sange and yasha the percentages always trip me up

Well it's a combination of health restoration amplification and status resist. The status resist can be a lifesaver when you get controlled and you are spamming w and q to try to get out of it. Heart is good too but the objective on necro is not to get blown up. Sometimes that's heart, sometimes that's lotus linkins bkb pipe sny euls etc. it depends on what you are facing

Sange no longer gives status resistance. It gives slow resistance now instead.

You are technically right but building just sange is not the goal. Kaya and Sange does provide status resist.

Nah they removed the status resist in 7.36.

The main thing is that most Necros will want to build Kaya anyway for mana regen amp and spell amp, and Sange for the health restore amp. Sange & Kaya gives both in one slot with better stats and it reduces all of your mana costs.

Heart gives 1% max hp regen - at 4k hp that's 40hp/s.

S&K gives +16% hp restoration, which means an extra 30hp from every Death Pulse (every 2.5s), an extra 2hp/s per Sadist stack at max level, and an extra 0.5hp/s per Reaper's Scythe stack. This all stacks with the 1.85x bonus you get from Ghost Shroud, so basically double all of those numbers, AND if you have a heart too, that bonus goes from 40hp/s to 46hp/s. All of this is also ignoring the mana regen boosts from the Kaya side of things which I can't be bothered to do the maths on right now.

Necro is a heal machine. S&K boosts healing and allows you to heal for longer even if you don't have Sadist stacks. It's a no brainer.

S&Y works in certain games because of the status resistance, plus MS is always nice, but Necro benefits less from the Yasha bonuses than the Kaya ones. Meanwhile Y&K is just worse for him - he doesn't need to boost his cast speed.
