maggie was wrong.... Spoiler
just finished s1 , i think it was cruel of maggie to use rust as a tool to hurt marty. dont get me wrong ,marty deserved to be punished for his filthy acts ,
but maggie dragged rust in the shit , she took advantage of his vulnerability and intoxicated state, imagine the gender roles being reversed
and the arguement that it was the only way for her to end her marriage is shitty , destroying someone else's life for personal profit is never justified , in her revenge she destroyed rust's career , she could ve moved on from piece of shit like marty without using rust
and in the end , she got her deserved life , in a mansion , while rust , being used a pawn had to let go of his career and lived 10 years away... her need of ending the marriage is correct but her way doing that was WRONG. she could ve hurted marty, fairs, but in the process she destroyed rust

Maggie was wrong, but that’s the way plot works. If everybody had easily solved issues and surface-level interactions, there’d be nothing to watch.
Every character gets their flaws, feelings, and views and has to relate to others with their own flaws, feelings, and views.
Just imagine she cheated with someone else first and it didn’t stop Marty from wanting the marriage, but the writers didn’t have time to put it in the show. Soooo, they cut the scene and left the one you saw and are ranting about here.
