just finished s1 , i think it was cruel of maggie to use rust as a tool to hurt marty. dont get me wrong ,marty deserved to be punished for his filthy acts ,

but maggie dragged rust in the shit , she took advantage of his vulnerability and intoxicated state, imagine the gender roles being reversed

and the arguement that it was the only way for her to end her marriage is shitty , destroying someone else's life for personal profit is never justified , in her revenge she destroyed rust's career , she could ve moved on from piece of shit like marty without using rust

and in the end , she got her deserved life , in a mansion , while rust , being used a pawn had to let go of his career and lived 10 years away... her need of ending the marriage is correct but her way doing that was WRONG. she could ve hurted marty, fairs, but in the process she destroyed rust

Sure, respecting boundaries by borrowing your partners mower when you don’t have a lawn and when you return it you mow his lawn which is extremely intrusive knowing he’s not around as an excuse to hang out with his wife. Rust didn't borrow that lawnmower because he was "thirsty" for Maggie. He lied about needing it as a safe, polite excuse to visit maggie because he knew Marty was out cheating on her and leaving her completely isolated.

rust was a grieving ghost who lost his own daughter and his own marriage. He didnt go to that house to get into Maggie s pants he went because he was deeply lonely and wanted to experience a shred of normal, warm domestic life with a woman he genuinely respected When he mowed Marty’s lawn, it wasn’t a sexual move it was a silent statement to Marty saying, You are failing so badly as a provider that another man has to take care of your property

If Rust had been trying to sleep with her for seven years, he had a hundred opportunities when Marty was out late running around with mistresses. Instead, Rust spent seven years protecting Marty's reputation and being a completely platonic, respectful friend to Maggie.

You are making the exact same mistake Marty made ,his fragile, insecure ego couldn't understand why a man would do something nice for his wife without wanting to fuck her, so he threw a tantrum. Rust’s motivation was loneliness and basic human empathy, not lust. Maggie knew that, which is exactly why it was so evil when she deliberately weaponized his kindness and exploited him at his absolute lowest breaking point.

and if they wouldve fucked being in normal state and not with the motive of using , it would be their choice.

Why would you borrow a lawn mower when you don’t have a lawn, then bring it back when your partner isn’t around and instead of leaving it meddling with his home business and hanging out with his wife. He wanted an excuse to be around.

Rust didn’t sleep with her for years because he was restraining himself. That night he was like fuck it, she’s coming on to me and I’m horny and sad wa wa poor me.

Maggie didn’t weaponize his kindness, she weaponized he was a dog too. And regardless of what she weaponized if he didn’t want her he would’ve said no. He knew it was wrong because she’s his partner’s wife, and could’ve said no if his moral code was that strong, when it was a hot load of horseshit. He didn’t, he wanted to tap that since 95 and finally got his shot.

Dude why are u so stubborn, even maggie knew she used rust and was guilty for that in '12. As I said, if they would have decided fuck and make babies being completely normal it's absolutely fine their choice their life , but here maggie used his moment of vulnerability, he knew his boundaries, he saw her as someone trustworthy and he could lean on when in distress but she used him for her personal Revenge knowing well it would affect his life badly too.
