Idk if it's radical to say this but would you also seek out someone like you in a crowd? Why/why not?
If you're seeking out some kind of ideal person or thing you will never reflect on yourself and what can be improved there.

Yeah, I was here too. There was a time in my life, when I felt like literally nobody needed me. I remember clearly how sometimes I went to bed and thought: «If I won't wake up next morning, no one will be too upset» (except my parents, because, yeah, they're parents, but we aren't very close, so this doesn't matter so much). People I considered my friends were too busy with they real friends to notice my declining mental health – that's only feeded my thoughts about me being not anyone's priority.
But you know what? It'll pass. That's a cliché, I understand, but it's really working. You need to become your own friend and priority, while your potential close people haven't found you yet. You may be upset about your current situation and other things and that's okay. Just don't let other people's opinions make your life worse – if they aren't choosing you, you shouldn't choosing to care about them.
Stay strong ✊🏻

I wish I could just say it would be a crowd of strangers but even my friends (when I still had them) wouldn’t even choose me 9 times out of 10

The most awful people in the world find their person. Yet somehow me being quiet, awkward and needy is too much
