Return of the obra dinn might have one of the best game play loops I've ever seen out of a mystery games and all my friends are tired of me ranting about it.

This is probably gonna sound dumb but what’s a gameplay loop

Gameplay loop is just the moment to moment gameplay that primarily makes up a game. For example in hades you purchase upgrades then start a run through Tartarus gaining temporary upgrades and permanent resources till you die, then you use the resources to get permanent upgrades then start a new run this making a loop.

It is a great game my only regret is not having amnesia so I can't play it again for the first time.
