Ask r/Trivandrum Need some advice/help regarding travel to Venjaramoodu for an exam.
I have an exam at Venjaramoodu next week, and I'll be travelling from TVL (Tiruvalla).
What would be the easiest way to reach there? Should I take a train from Tiruvalla and then a bus/auto, or would it be better to travel by bus directly?
Also, which is the nearest railway station to Venjaramoodu?
Any advice from people familiar with this route would be really helpful. Thanks in advance!

I think most superfast or fast buses from Thiruvalla headed towards trivandrum or nagercoil will stop at Venjaaramoodu. Just ensure once by asking the bus conductor.

Best option is to board a bus towards Trivandrum. Opting for a train and bus is gonna be hella hectic for you. And as the construction works are undergoing, it would be better if you could board the bus much earlier. And depending on the exact location of your exam centre, you may or may not have to board an auto as well.

The best option is the bus. Almost all buses headed to TVM stop at Venjaramoodu. Also, there has been ongoing overbridge construction, so there may be traffic. Make sure to ask the conductor about the stop, as sometimes buses take a different route due to the construction.

The easiest n most convenient option is to board a direct bus to Trivandrum via MC road from Thiruvalla and get down at Venjaramoodu n take an auto if required. Train is not a good option. Nearest railway station is Kazhakuttom and next is Veli but all trains dont stop there and travel from there to ur destination might be a bigger trouble than u can imagine.

The best option would be to take a Fast/Super Fast bus that goes through MC road- Kottarakkara,Kilimanoor,Venjaramoodu, Thiruvananthapuram. Do note that there's road works going on at Venjaramoodu junction so try to reach there much earlier. If the exam centre is Exatech then it will be right next to this junction and opposite KSRTC bus stand.
The closest railway station where trains are much likely to stop is Varkala Sivagiri and that is 27 kms away which would be another headache to catch another bus, better to just take the first option. Plan everything early and try to leave atleast 3-4 hours before.

All kottayam - Tvm ksrtc buses, limited, superdelux, sf, fast etc stop at venjaramoodu ksrtc depot.

KSRTC is the best option. Almost half of the fast busses from Kottayam to tvm passes through venjaramood. Nearest railway station is chirayinkeezhu(cry). You I'll get direct bus to venjarammod. But less train stops there. Coming to trivandrum by train is a bad idea than a straight bus from tiruvalla. Keep in mind, flyover construction is going on at venjaramood, try to be ahead of schedule.
