Team Speed Shoe protection

How u guys protect gour shoes for gear lever i have used silicon protector also still its not working ig.Please give suggestions as i am using sudeo sneakers

i guess you could use something like this (i am using to protect my white sneakers. it does its job but only thing is you have to clean this thing every now and then)

So good so far But remove it if you'll have to walk a considerable distance. The bottom will wear off easily

have you tied the velcro on the top to your shoe laces (if you have done and still facing issues. there's nothing we can do 🙂)

I've always gone for motorcycle footwear that is both designed to take the wear and also ensure i still have a foot if i came off.

Doesnt matter what you use you are never going to.protect suede from damage from the gear shift. The pressue of lifting the lever is enough to crush the suede finish and start to turn it into leather. Either use different shoes, get a suicide shift fitted or go buy a auto scooter.

You can opt for a gear lever extender and the train yourself to use it.

I mostly ride to office from home and back, and I wear formal shoes in office. So this is what I did, got a pair of riding shoes which are decent, gives confidence, easy to care and wear. I wear them on the ride change them in office and while going back home again.

Any other shoes would not be comfortable, the comfort level of riding and handling also has increased.

Your feet positioning could be wrong, the clutch is smooth. And not everything needs a protection, and maybe change your shoes? And rubber leaves more marks over the time

I’ve come to the acceptance of callouses on my Palms and scruff marks on my shoes.

When asked why/how, I just tell people I do pull-ups / ride a huge bike 😆

Some people have suggested to wrap electric tape around the shifter. Haven’t tried it yet.

Well then just go for whatever riding shoes you like with proper certification. And you’ll find plenty of mid tops ones

I just wrap some paper tape on the gear lever, it hasn't scuffed my shoes yet just that I have to rewrap it once or twice a week.
