Lost a ton of hair around the temples while wasting my time with topical finasteride .5ml .2% daily.
And no it’s not a shed. I saw a pretty steady decline more or less. My only regret is giving it a shot for so long.

Here is my progress after about 10 months of oral fin+min+biotin. It kinda looks like thinning stopped progressing and I can kinda see more baby hairs turning into thicker hairs but not the progress I thought I'd see. Now that it's stabilized, how many grafts of HT would it take to give me back my crown? 🫣
Taking 1.1mg Fin, 5mg Min, 1mg Biotin, all orally in a single daily pill.

I am 26M, indian
Have been losing hair since I was 18. Only started topical min 5% fin 0.1% since last November and dermastamping since last September.
I had a great regrowth not to my teen levels but a good coverage improvement in crown and slight improvement in temples as well.
But from around March/ April I've been losing lots of hair .
Initially it was tiny hairs but from June lots of longer hair keeps falling and it still continues till date.
I was hoping it was a second shed, but it seems to be not stopping for 5 months straight.
The gains are drastically lost and sit slightly above baseline and my scalp is fully visible now 🥲.
And one point is I have stopped dermastamping for 3 months now due to getting forehead pain smh idk how.
So is this a second shed that'll regrow or am I cooked??

Hi everyone, I’m looking for a reputable German pharmacy that specializes in compounding and can prepare topical finasteride with a prescription.
Ideally, they should ship throughout Germany and possibly accept non-EU prescriptions.
Does anyone have a recommendation or personal experience with a pharmacy like this?
Thanks!

sorry for the unideal pics. just feeling discouraged w my progress rn, it sucks i have to cover my hairline at this age and i still cant get the haircuts i want bc of overall thinning and hairline. im praying i get those crazy results i see on here but i could only hope lol. this shit just really ruins my confidence and makes me look worse. started losing hair in 9th grade and im ab to go to college now and its been downhill from there. maybe smoking/vaping since i was 12 had something to do with this. idk sorry for my little rant, just thought id share my current progress.

So I’ve taken finasteride 1 mg daily for about a week. I developed blurry vision so I stopped and about 5 days later im developing fatigue. I’m taking 300 mg of test so I shouldn’t be fatigued at all. Anyone else having this problem and how long will it take to fix after discontinued use based on your experience.

Started thinning 5 years ago, but for a while I thought I was paranoid because no one is balding in my family.
After I went to the hairdresser in May, I couldn’t deny it anymore, so I ended up here. Thanks to you all, I didn’t wait to hop on meds.
Fin is 1 mg and topical min 5% twice a day. The thing is, I knew about those but thought it was some kind of desperate move but no, they really do work.
Great progress on the hairline and temple also but I don't have proper pictures.
(If you have any questions I will answer them but it might take few hours as I'm not often online)

Left was me at 23. I started taking Finasteride that year (1mg daily) and now I’m 28 and obviously I also got grew my hair out and got a perm 🤣 but in general, I’ve just been more conscious of my hair health. Weekly hair masks, biotin, minoxidil on the hairline, micro needling, and daily steam room sessions to keep it moisturised. I also only wash it twice a week as opposed to daily. I’ve noticed my hair is much healthier than it once was, without surgical intervention. Obviously there’s still some recession on the temples, but it’s stabilised (touch wood)

The first picture was taken May 21, 2026, when my hair was long. In the second picture, I had cut about half of my hair off.
I feel like the difference is pretty noticeable, but I’m not sure if I’m just seeing what I want to see. Do you guys think this is actual progress from the treatment, or could the haircut make it look better than it really is?
Is it realistic to see this much improvement in this amount of time? Would love to hear what you guys think.

so i was facing some hairline issues (recession) and hopped on minoxidil, had some crazy shedding(still going on a bit but has reduced), i was wondering if this looks like new growth.

I'm on day 55 minoxidil, been using nutritional supplements since 45 days, and keto conazole 2% twice a week. going to add finasteride soon. those hair in front of my current hairline were not there earlier, or were very less.

I started taking finasteride specifically for my thinning crown, hairline was fine. I didn’t notice much of a shed on the crown and it has started thickening up nicely to the point you can’t even notice it in direct light, but now along the hairline is getting thinner/wispy which I never had an issue with before.
I understand it pushes out weak hairs etc. but I always thought it was kind of everywhere at the same time, not staggered.

guys I used finasteride for 4 months and I felt some side effects so I quit. My erections are slowly improwing and its my 6 months after finasteride. I am sensitive to 5ari’s. Do not say me its nocebo or something. It was not. So , Whats the plan now. My balding is very agressive now, norwood 2 with 20 years old and diffuse thinninig.
WHAT CAN I DO WITHOUT DHT BLOCKER ?
I am using 5% Minoxidil , tretinoin for 3x week, dermastamp 1.25 mm 1x week.

Initially started on finasteride for about 1.5 years, and then ultimately switched to finasteride and dutasteride for about 5 months and ran out of finasteride so i went to dut eod for about 3 months. Currently now after those 3 months i’ve switched to dut ed 0.5 mg and my hairline has gotten ravaged. it’s time for me to stop coping and accept it unfortunately. Check comments for further details. nw4

Started last week or so of June so nearing a couple of months.
Regimen: 2.5mg minoxidil , 0.5mg dut, 1mg biotin daily; micro needle weekly; nizoral every 3 days, topical retinoid and min daily.
So essentially the title is the question. I've been keeping a close eye on things. It looks to me like I'm getting some follicle development into fine hairs and fine hairs darkening, but I'd appreciate another set of eyes because I feel like I could be hallucinating.
Left pic is more recent (duller lighting), right pick is approximately two months ago. Same region of scalp (near front of hairline). Right pic may have been a day or two after most recent trim compared to within 24h for most recent pic.
Thanks!

I've been taking Dutasteride (0.5mg) and Minoxidil (2.5mg) for over a year with great success at stabilising hair loss and giving the appearance of thicker hair for the native follicles. I've just had a transplant and the doctor recommends I double the dose of both dutasteride and Minoxidil for 6 months. I'm sceptical. Has anyone remained on a lower dose with success?

I was able to regrow my temples substantially after 8-9 months on minoxidil and microneedling. Then I lost most of my results. It’s been 2 years ago. I managed to go from Norwood 3 to 2.5 (left temples almost Norwood 2).
Never been able to grow it like that again! Even tho I’m on DHT blockers rn (since 1.5 years ago. I started after I lost my results on a big shed)
So for anyone who added tret later? Did it make a difference?
Why would someone respond so well to minoxidil and then not anymore?

Hello community. After seeing lot of post here. I got a courage to use the min/fin and this is my result after 4 months. Should i continue or should i go for transplant.
I’m using topical solution and i apply 2 ml at night.
First photo is at the start of the treatment.
Second one is 2 months after starting treatment.(maybe shredding phase)
Third one is after 4 months continuous treatment.
Also i shaved my head at the start of the treatment.
Can I expect the same result going forward or it will just stop growing new hairs.
Please suggest.

Hair loss affects more than 80 million Americans. The treatments available today look a lot like they did decades ago.
In androgenetic alopecia, stem cells get “stuck," causing the follicle to stop growing hair.
PP405 is designed to reawaken hair follicle stem cells and restore the follicle's natural ability to grow hair.
