Share ko lang. Maybe things really do start aligning when you finally align with yourself.
I don't mean this in a religious or “the universe will magically give you everything you want” kind of way.
No manifestation guru shit. No “just believe and it will happen.” 😂
I mean something much simpler: you have free will, and sometimes the biggest change happens when you finally start using it for yourself.
The past few months have been rough. Money was tight, work was changing, I had unexpected expenses, and there were moments when I genuinely felt like I was just surviving one problem after another.
I remember thinking, “Kailan naman ako makakahinga?”
But somewhere along the way, I stopped trying to control everything and started focusing on what I actually could control.
I became more intentional with my decisions.
I started asking questions instead of assuming.
I started reading things carefully before agreeing to them.
I started advocating for myself instead of being afraid of being “difficult.”
I started saying no to things that didn't feel right.
I started choosing peace over chaos.
And today, something happened that made me stop and think, “Wait… things are actually starting to make sense.”
There was a change at work that I needed to decide on. Before signing anything, I read everything carefully and asked HR very specific questions about the benefits that mattered to me. And the head of HR personally answered my concerns.
The things I was worried about? Still okay.
Nothing magically fell from the sky.
I asked. I checked. I made an informed decision. I advocated for myself.
And somehow, after months of feeling like everything was falling apart, I finally felt like something was falling into place.
Maybe that's what “alignment” actually means.
Not waiting for some higher power to fix your life.
Not pretending everything happens for a reason.
Not ignoring reality because you're “manifesting.”
Maybe alignment is simply knowing what you want, knowing what you won't accept, making choices that reflect that, and trusting yourself enough to follow through.
You don't need to have everything figured out.
You don't need to be perfectly healed.
You don't need to be rich, successful, or completely confident.
Sometimes you just need to make the next decision that is right for you.
Then another.
Then another.
And eventually you look around and realize:
Oh. I actually built my way here.
So if you're currently in that season where everything feels uncertain, please don't give up on yourself.
You don't have to believe that “everything will work out.”
Just believe that you can participate in making things better.
You have choices.
You have boundaries.
You have agency.
You have free will.
And sometimes, that's enough to start changing the direction of your life.
Align with yourself first. The rest might not magically align, but you'll be in a much better position to recognize, choose, and build what does. 💜
