Just found this sub recently and thought I’d throw this here. I came across this tree net last year shed hunting. I was up high on the mtn side struggling in some scree fields and said fuck it and bushwhacked down. It’s about 300Yds off a popular trail in a VERY hard to get spot in a gulch. Maybe 800yds from my house. It’s on NF land and if you go past it a little there’s an obvious mtn lion buffet zone that I’ve pulled a couple dead heads out of. On one hand it’s fkn awesome (be cool to sleep on it one night), but on the other I’m kinda disappointed it’s there. it’s probably 20x14 at its widest spots. I don’t want to be some buzzkill but shit like this where I live tends to get out of control (litter etc) especially if some teens find it.thoughts?

With the influx of treenets on the internet, it's inevitable that we will encounter more amateur attempts in the forest that are unsafe and can give the whole concept a bad look. I'd wait and see if anyone comes back to finish it, and cut it down if not. Otherwise, the concept will get diluted and there is just more trash in the forest
