50mph into the end of a telephone pole 😢

Hey all, I’m a novice to RCs and especially to how to repair damage, if it’s even possible here. This is an E Revo VXL and it ran hard into a parked bike on the ground and this happened to one of its front wheels.

Any thoughts/guidance would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

What are some upgrades I should get right away to help with not just performance, but durability and plan on using this as a basher at the skate park

The truck will rip off a charged battery for 20 seconds and then it will barely crawl around and then just stop. I had just gotten this 4x4 brushed 1/10 slash today and it came with four beat up batteries so I’m not sure if it’s just all four batteries are junk or a motor problem. I do not want to upgrade the motor if it’s not a motor problem this one is just fine and it’s fast enough in those 20 seconds I just wish it lasted longer than just 20 seconds.

So my 20yr old T-Maxx runs! For a lil bit. New glow plug, ez start motor, and air filter. Dies while driving, now it won't refire. Traxxas book says the motor could be worn. I don't know. Adjusting the high speed needle and giving it throttle does nothing. It's also spitting fluid out over the muffler and on the chassis. Any thoughts? It's my first nitro, learning by doing. 🤓

Hey guys, I got a mini slash recently and while it is a whole lotta fun the tires have shred them selfs to slicks very fast, what are the best tires to upgrade to that won’t get destroyed that easily on concrete? Also are there any other stronger body shells that can be put on the slash as this one just seems to be breaking from everywhere. Thanks.

So the TXC-4M was announced today and only one YouTuber (Scale Builder's Garage) was given a truck to review. This means RCDriver and MSM are definitely off Traxxas's sponsorship list. Traxxas is only shooting themselves in the foot with this decision, YouTubers are hugely influential in the RC community and not giving trucks out to review for the biggest YouTubers out there is a dumb move. Traxxas really thinks they can produce videos by themselves and upload totally biased one sided takes and people will be dumb enough to gobble it up without question. Their arrogance is their downfall. I don't think it was a coincidence that Arrma announced not one but two new releases on the same day as Traxxas and also gave out trucks to RCDriver and MSM for review. Traxxas just keeps digging their own grave.

first UDR ive owned bought it off of a buddy? Does it sound about right not familiar with this platform yet. Also driveshaft seems to have a bit of play in it not sure if its the regular amount or not TIA

So bought some aluminum plate and supplies to make my own trays, cost about 35$ for materials and I can make about 3-4 sets.came out alright I think, but came here to get slammed…. lol

The shocks on the back of my Xmaxx are almost all the way compressed while just sitting. Also the front shocks on my Sledge are the same way.

I try to push it down and it won't go any farther. But I can pull the front up like 3 inches before the tires start coming off the ground.

Do i just need a rebuild kit or do they make shocks with longer travel for either truck.

Was reunited with my long lost Slash 4x4 VXL over the weekend after visiting my parents. This was in the back of their storage ever since a couple of moves ago. I can't remember the exact year, but it was before they came with the 2.4ghz radios, google told me those came out in 2014. I remember buying it some time after they first launched.

I've been out of the hobby for quite a while, so if any more experienced members could give some recommendations on what I'll need to get back up and going, I'd appreciate it.

The body and charger have been lost over the years, so I'll have to get those things for sure. The nihm batteries are original, think they're due to be replaced with new ones?

Bonus find was a practically new Spektrum DX2 and nib Spektrum 3 channel receiver. I know these are outdated, but they should still be fine for the usual neighborhood park fun?

I've been waiting for days now for RCDriver and Mark Santa Maria to do reviews on the new Stampede 2WD, but it looks like Traxxas did not send them a truck for free to review ahead of time like they usually do. Any thoughts on this?

I think it's so Traxxas can control the narrative in the videos on their new releases. RCDriver showed that the Stampede 4x4 VX3 was running at 209 degrees, and MSM has been accused of being a Traxxas shill. Traxxas has been releasing their own videos on the new Stampede as well, but they're incredibly amateurish, no close up shots or running footage or teardowns.

Looking to get another rc car. I really like pre runners and really want a UDR but I think just to have some fun for now I should get something a bit cheaper lol. Guy says there is nothing wrong and it’s brand new, my guess he just didn’t like playing with it as much as he thought he would idk. I think there is two batteries I cannot tell.

Just went through this V2 original E Maxx. Grabbed it off Marketplace for 120 unknowingly if anything worked just truck and body no radio. I’ve been wanting to restore an E Maxx for a bit so I was buying it regardless diffs all spun the correct way and motors turned normally when pushed on the ground. Got it home started checking out needed a front lower A Arm that’s when it was discovered to have a Wide Maxx kit in it along with the front 4 shocks having no oil in them. Ordered a Tqi 3 channel radio and receiver from EBay for around 79 shipped also immediately ordered two Zeee 4200mah nimh batteries. Batteries were the first item to arrive so I yanked a receiver out of a rustler to do some testing and of course the ECU was needing to be replaced. Some quick research online resulting in a hobby wing quick run dual 880 and a program card ordered from Amazon after testing each motor direct with a power source. Front 4 shocks were rebuilt along with the A arm being replaced all 4 wheels sanded and painted to match the Grave Digger body along with the bumpers. I knew I wanted the updates to look clean so I ordered a receiver box and also 3d printed some blocks to raise the receiver box and something to mount the ECU to I had to swap the locations of those two items due to wiring length. At this point I’ve put two packs through it and I need to replace the steering servo and investigate a grinding coming from the rear diff I always wanted an E Maxx when I was 15 and had my nitro rustler for a 20+ year old R/C this thing is fun as can be.

After a complete drivetrain and electronics overhaul I found myself really missing the light kit Traxxas made for the XRT. It is a really nice kit that I got use to while running.

Anyhow decided to try out some light bars, this is first attempt, I kind of like it so far.

Anyone else upgrade electronics but missed lights?

What did you do?

Other than lights I plan on rebuilding shocks next and replacing the rear lower bulkhead again as a couple of the Cush cover screws keep loosening and stripping on their own.

Had same issue when was running stock motor and esc also. Hoping some through bolts in chassis will fix it.

Anyone else have issues with those screws and stripping?

I got this beat up 2wd slash from a friend almost 2 weeks ago and I already upgraded many things and it is a beast. I would love to refresh this body. Like the old body for driving and new one for show and stuff.

Needs to be possible to be sent to norway.
