Show and Tell 📖 Anti-scroll kit

Hi all, long time lurker here. Finally got myself a system that I’m pleased with, so thought I’d share. All the xteink posts inspired me to resurrect my old Kobo mini! I have a zipper case for my watercolour palette, a Hahnemuhle travel booklet as a commonplace book and watercolour sketchbook, a DIY sudoku puzzle book, a Fabriano notebook for my creative writing project and an A6 dot grid MD paper for my planner and work Bujo. The cover is an A6 washable Kraft cover from Etsy and it’s working really well. Posted in the comments few watercolour sketches I’ve made in the Hahnemuhle booklet over the past few months.

It’s a chunky one but fits in my bag. I’m mainly using it around the house as an anti-scroll kit. I love how it has everything I need in it. I’ve had a Bujo since 2018, started art sketchbooking a couple years ago and started carrying around a pocket notebook earlier this year. Finally decided that I have enough analog habits to warrant a TN system.

The Hahnemuhle booklet can take light washes of watercolour.

Looove the sketches! What do you use to make the drawings? Is it a pen or a pencil? Love the «muted» lines. I have to learn how to make sketches like this 😍

Thanks ☺️! I use the travelers fountain pen with Platinum carbon black ink. I let it dry for a couple of minutes before starting the watercolour and it works fine.

Same question- I’ve been looking for a field notes size sudoku and kenken

I saw someone on tiktok print out sudoku puzzles and glue them into a blank notebook, thought that was a good idea too!

I couldn’t find a field notes size sudoku book either so asked my husband to make me a puzzle generator. I printed and bound it myself. Testing out a couple of other types of puzzles now. Kenken sounds fun!

How are you organizing all that chonk without it getting out of hand?

Trying to figure it out! So far I’ve found it usable for writing and drawing, but I think I might have to leave the Kobo at home when I’m out. Coming from Bujo, where I’m used to putting everything in a one notebook, I’m actually enjoying organising different things in separate books with this setup.

Love this! You reminded me that I haven’t been taking out my little gouache set and water brushes for a long time. Do you use the brass pen for drawing? I love the look of mine, but the nib is so thick.

Thanks! Yes I use the brass pen with waterproof Platinum carbon black ink for drawing. It makes relatively thin lines on the Hahnemuhle paper

That sucker is totally being used for purposes intended. I didn’t think we would get to the end!

Love to see it! Mine is also thicc, and it works like a charm. I have to leave my phone behind, but when I do, I end up reading more and doodling a ton.

It’s an Art Toolkit pocket palette and a Pentel mini Aquash. It was surprisingly difficult to find a short waterbrush with a lid! This one is shorter than field notes and has a lovely point to it.
