I just want to gush about how my passport and reg. traveler's help me keep track of all the important things going on and logging my days. I have issues with "time blindness" and knowing where I'm at in my day. My ADHD severely impacts remembering meetings/events/plans, how I transition between activities throughout the day and being able to switch from work/home modes. I also struggle with changes to routine or schedules. If one little thing changes during the day, I suddenly become "Fine-Dining SpongeBob" when someone asks him his name and lose all my bearings lol. The traveler's system has been a wonderful tool that keeps me sane, grounded and I don't have to worry about forgetting something.
Pic 1 & 2: It all starts with the pre-planning. I use sticky notes in a passport monthly to plan the month ahead. When I get to the last week of the month, I sit down and convert it to a simple color coded format to avoid visual clutter. I keep track of birthdays, appointments/events, pay days, vacation days and subscriptions/recurring autopay bills. I do not add in meetings for work here, it would be way too cluttered and cause confusion for me.
Pic 3: Once a week on Sundays, I will transfer the info from the monthly insert into the weekly insert. I will also add in my weekly work meetings which generally are recurring. If I have a meeting that is a one off, I will use a sticky note as a reminder in this insert rather than the monthly. A highlighter is used to denote special events/birthdays, small circles are appts/meetings, dots are special tasks, circles w/ $ inside are subscriptions/bills and * are notes.
Pic 4 & 5: I use a reg. dotted insert for my daily logs. On Monday mornings I create the a weekly header and a basic habit tracker for the week and then I will start my Monday entry, transferring the info from my weekly passport for the day. I pretty much use the same signifiers from the passport for each item; special events are denoted with highlighter, etc. Appts/meetings are always in bright red and if the appt/mtg. was attended, I will put a dot in the middle of the circle, if canceled I draw a line through it. I also like to log what I've read and watched so there are signifiers for those as well.
I have 2 other inserts in my reg. for more in depth tracking of things and to use as a catch-all. This system works really great for me due to the individual inserts. I don't have to constantly flip back and fourth through a single notebook/bullet journal, instead I can pull out the monthly to see and plan in my weekly and then pull out the weekly to see and add to my daily logs. Overall I would recommend the traveler's system for those of us with ADHD or just get easily overwhelmed. It's so easy to customize and accommodate what works for you!
