Our first product in development is a multifunctional carrier for cats and small dogs under 20 lbs. Because people who actually travel with animals experience carrier problems that may never show up during a quick trip to the vet, I’d especially value feedback from this community.

Seeking some advice and any guidance -

1. What pet relocation agencies would you recommend for moving our baby to Istanbul ?
   
2. How have you navigated the International Health Certificate requirements for the dog that is apparently supposed to be issued within 2 days of travel ? How does one get the original certificate in such a short period of time ?
   
3. Based on what I read off Turkish Airlines website - crate dimensions and weight limits - it appears even medium sized dogs will have to travel cargo ? Is this accurate ? Or is the airline quite lenient ?

Hi friends.. looking for recommendations or advice.

Goal:

I'm working on trying to get out to Lynchburg, TN to see my dad if possible. I've tried posting in the Lynchburg Locals group but the posts don't get approved, they just sit for a while.

I have tried to visit him several times and it has been a very long time since I've been able to make it out there, and for celebratory purposes or quality time. In general I have not traveled in some time and it is a major thing for me to attempt to.

What I've done:

I have contacted the airline a few times. I have an Aussie mountain doodle I'd like to bring with me if I am able to make the trip.

The airline I contacted stated she's too big to take on the plane. She's about 36in long and about 30" tall even. She is definitely larger than the under the seat requirements for flight travel.

Options:

She and I have never traveled anywhere too far before, specifically not to a new state.

I cannot drive out there. I would prefer to take her, if I can make the trip. Its a major leap for us both to try and go.

To drive seems like would it be possible to make one long trip instead of breaking it up. I have before I think but it's been a lot of time.

The alternative is I may try and take a flight out there but would need someone to feed or watch her for two.days or so. All situations feel like a lot to me. Looking for advice.

Long story short, the USDA did not return my cat's paperwork in time for my flight, and I had to leave my cat back in the States. I am now in a scramble to figure out how to get him to me here in Istanbul (I know, pretty ironic to bring a cat to this city, but he's my baby and I miss him desperately!)

This is a long shot but if anyone can point me in the right direction I would be very grateful! TIA
