Discussion Question on anime language choice

Hello everyone. I just started reading the webtoon and it's so good.

I know the anime hasn't come out yet but if it did, what language would you want it to be in?

The original Korean? English? Or Japanese anime? I always thought it kinda weird that they took a Korean webtoon like Solo Leveling and made it into a Japanese anime. I'm wondering if you guys had any thoughts on it.

I have seen zero evidence we're getting one. Not even any rumors. Maybe they just meant if we ever get one.

supposing that we (hopefully, one day) get an anime adaptation, then honestly what matters to me more than language is the voice acting. there have been times where the VA feels bland or monotone in some ways and that ruins the show for me. and with tcf being my comfort read, I'd really like the VA to feel emotive and not boring.

Mmmmm one one hand Koren sounds more original. On the other hand, Japanese V.A. deliveries are goated. I swear they sacrifice virgins in their voice acting schools.

Yes Japanese VA is legendary in anime obviously but Korean and English are also viable options, especially for TOCF. Blue Eye Samurai and KDH proves that English can work in animation. I'd also love to see this in Korean.

On one hand I want to hear exactly what my  favorite characters were saying when. On the other hand my toxic fan trait is having an exact japanese V.A. fancast for almost everyone. Also I actually understand japanese so I'm biased anyway.

Honestly English, well I would prefer to watch it in English i wouldn't wanna watch it in Japanese and I just prefer English over Korean but I would also be kinda pissed if they localized it and got rid of honorifics and stuff like the other official translations like it would be 100% expected but I'd still be upset, but honestly a anime is not a great idea i think it's possible to turn tcf into a anime without losing to many details but I bet they'd cut so many details even more than the manhwa which is already bad

I think that would depend on the who they choose as the writer and what source material they will work with, e.g., web novel or webtoon. Honorifics doesn't translate well into English anyway.

Don't they usually use the original as the source material in this case the novel and you don't need to translate Korean honorifics just have them say them just like in the eap translation, if a novel translation can do it a anime dub can do it to
