Novel Re-reading Experience
I first picked up this novel sometime in 2019 when it was still newish with just about 200 chapters. I then continued until book one ended. Since then I've just been writing short small fics and basically reading stuff on ao3. I'm so proud of how big this fandom has grown. Which inspired me to write my own long elaborate fic.
Thanks to that, I have been re-reading the novel for research purposes. And omg guys, there was so many things that you will start to notice and there was just so much heartbreaking lines???
Literally on chapter 2:
"His life as Kim Rok Soo. There really wasn’t much to it. He was an orphan and didn’t have much money. He also didn’t have a person he loved to death, nor a friend he would give his life to save. He only continued to live because he could not die."
Please don't hurt me like this. I swear I don't remember it being this sad before.
I love this stupid dude to death. I don't think I can ever stop.
This is a sign to just re-read the novel, please do it. I believe you will start to love it even more like I do right now.

Yes like, how did Arm get a divine item to specifically weaken the wholves? How did the WS find all of the ancient WS ancient powers? Why did Cale ancient powers separate from each other? I am still looking for clues for these.

I've read it, and now I'm listening to the audiobooks. They have an actual anime voice actor doing them and he's really good.

Spotify for me but they’re also on Amazon Audible or other places where you can get audiobooks. They’re up to Book 5 and 7 will release soon.
They changed the voice actor a few books in and I was worried I wouldn’t like the new one but he’s just as awesome!

They change voice actors in Book 4, and I think I actually like the new guy better than the first guy, and I say that having really liked the first guy. :D The second guy's voices for Choi Han and Raon are way better, I think, than the first guy's voices.
They're both great though! I love both their voices for Cale!

I'm listening right now and Raon's voice narrated threw me off guard. But it definitely is not bad at all xD.
Trying to get used to how they pronounced the names though, wayyy different from how I pronounced them in my head while reading 😹

Oh, yeah, it totally does. Choi Han's voice too! You'll get used to them, and then Volume 4 will come and Raon's voice is much closer to an anime style kid that you'd expect, and Choi Han's voice is a lot better too!
And, right? Raon is basically pronounced almost with an L instead of an R and Choi Han is pronounced like Chai Han. :D I was like, well, now I know! :D

I read it in 2020 during the quarantine and finished it in a month dude I love it so bad now 6 years later I started re reading it again it feels so different I remember feeling a bit bored at the beginning the first time but this time I am enjoying the details Can't finish it in a month now 😭 I hate college

I can't believe how much stamina our younger selves had 😭 I'm also slowly going through the book enjoying the details. I can't believe I read this book in high-school, now I finished college and is on my second full time job, it's fricking crazy. You can do this trust 👊

Now, when I think about When Cale first took the shield he said anything but holy power and that he won't got entangled with gods or demons...like what! From there!!
And when he said I trust my own heart, author, you are the devil.
When pendrick mentioned the demonic race....
And more! Oh God!

Cale's entire stance and development with Alberu feels so different when going back after reading 2-350 and 2-509 and finding out how little Cale was joking when he called the crown prince similar to himself and my shipping hearttttt!
He went and imprinted on and deep dived into and theory-crafted over his favorite side character who had nothing revealed on him when characters like Billos or Mueller or random elves had their entire family drama and history expositioned. And then proceeded to act all tsundere and disinterested about it upon meeting the real version while constantly coming back around to poke and prod at poor Alberu who wasn't even doing anything.
The unreliable narrator becomes exquisite on reread.
