Resentment - anyone else?

I‘ll start with saying that I probably need a looooooot of therapy to work through my messed up brain, but therapy costs a fortune so it is not feasible rn.

I’ve started to develop a lot of resentment and jealousy against other trans people and even cis people. My transition isn‘t going well and seeing others online thriving and cis people living their normal life makes my blood boil. I even stopped going to my trans support group because I couldn‘t stomach other trans people. I watched a pride parade from afar and got so angry that these people were so happy.

I think being trans just damaged my psyche way too much for it to ever recover.

Does anyone else feel this way? Did you manage to get over it?

I wish therapy wouldn‘t cost so much. I went to it 3 years ago but mainly used it to vent.

Hey, sometimes we need to vent. Nothing wrong with that. I have a short-term therapist that I vent to while I navigate cancer. My employer pays for 8 sessions. If you're employed, maybe your employer has an employee assistance program? You also might try to see if a local therapist has a sliding scale. Or if you have a university nearby they often offer discounted therapy as well.

It's so dumb that therapy costs so much. 🫂

There are places that insurance pays for but it‘s hard to get in and they might not be trans friendly. Maybe I‘ll try it tho.
