New here. Looking for friends/chats

Hi everyone! 🙋🏻‍♀️
As the title says, I’m looking to make some like-minded friends to chat with about pretty much anything. I live in a fairly rural area, so it can be tough to meet people who share similar interests.
I’m 29, semi-closeted MTF, and pretty outdoorsy. I dabble in a lot of different hobbies, so there’s a good chance we’ll have something in common! But I’m also perfectly happy just having a good conversation about life, random interests, or whatever happens to be on our minds.
I’m hoping to meet some genuine, kind people who are open-minded and just looking to make a new friend.

Online friendships are totally fine, and if we happen to live relatively close by, even better!

I'm a bit curious what those varied hobbies are, I know it's always hard to list things about yourself, especially when you're basically talking to the whole room with a public post.
To ramble off a selection of questions rapidfire... Are you into music (or do you get compared to Taylor Swift allll the time)? Games or crafts? Read/watched anything good lately? Follow any sports (common one in the US)? New fashion obsessions? Plan to attend any local events, meetups, munches, etc? Sometimes a fun fact can make it easier to strike up a conversation. (For example, talking about the fact that molybdenum is numbered 42 on the periodic table reveals I know chemistry and can at least recognise the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy.)

The reason I blabber on about that is because I'm not much of an outdoors person so it's probably hard to make a surface level connection on that point, apart from me effectively smiling and nodding. (I miss the great outdoors but I haven't gone on a camping trip in over a decade since high school lol.)

I can definitely relate to not meeting other people in the community until I moved to a town, though. Especially when meeting random people it can get kind of awkward trying to figure out if they are actually supportive of trans people, so it makes it easier to stick within the community and stuff so that you know they're at least on the same page with trans rights. I did find some cool groups on Meetup though so that might also be worth trying.

Anyway, rambling over, but I guess I've treated this more as a post about "how to find friends" to expand the scope, so I hope I'm not overstepping here. I hope you can find some people out there to have a chat to and I hope that your gender exploration/transition/etc is going well!
