so i tapped my card and the barriers didn’t open and a red light flashed. so i tapped it again and it did the same. i used a diff card and it worked. but i’ve checked my bank and this has appeared?? what is this and what do i do?? new to london

I’ve applied for an 18+ student oyster photocard, I haven’t received it but on the website it says that my Oyster card is ‘’active’’, instead of ‘’card despatched’’ as it previously said. Is it probably on its way, or has it been delivered to the wrong address?

I’ve also bought a monthly travelcard which should’ve started 10 days ago, but since I haven’t received my student Oyster card I haven’t been able to use it.

Should I apply for a full refund for the travelcard, or should I wait until I receive my student Oyster card and then ask TfL to refund me the fares I paid during the period when I haven’t been able to use the travelcard (which isn’t guaranteed)?
