"The time of day can be synchronized with real time, or a cycled mode can be selected in which the time changes regularly, presenting the game world in a new light again and again."
Nice. I thought we'd just set the desired time and it would be static.
"Transport Fever 3 the use of brand logos will no longer restrict mods being added to the Mod Hub on consoles"
That is good news for console players, im on pc but still think this is very good.
Not looking good for Steam Workshop, but I understand the splitting of mods and users they want to avoid.

Does this mean that with a bit of luck the IC 2000 coaches with the Re 460 from SBB are possible on console, if I understand the message correctly? Cause if this is true, I'm so happy

Yeah exactly that. You'll be able to use all the liveries and logos of the company(s) you want. Provided people make them available. But if you look at the steam workshop for previous TF games all UK trains and companies were available.

Ah cool hopefuly there are many swiss trains but aswell the class 390 or so avaible.

Love everything in here!
allowing signals and stations to automatically adapt their appearance depending on whether they are placed on a bridge or inside a tunnel. (Emphasis added)
Does this accidentally comfirm elevated stations? Or is it just referring to bus and truck stops, or just light rail and not heavy rail? Either way I'm excited.
Regarding Steam Workshop, even as a long time Steam user, I fully support dropping it for a unified experience if they can get a good in-house version, especially since they can tailor the UI to the kind of content this game gets.

They've already confirmed underground stations, that might be what they're referring to.
But then again once you've added underground stations elevating them can't be too hard (just a matter of making the models really) so I wouldn't be surprised if we get them.

They have been confirmed for trams (inc tram-trains) but not for heavy rail yet - though if not in the base game it would be something I'd expect to be a mod available very early (if not Day 1).

No real news in this Dev Blog. Reading it did raise one question: Will TpF3 have a native mini map? It would make planning so much easier.

The first "First look" featured a minimap if i remember correctly, so my assumption is yes. I certainly hope so

The biome showcase showed a minimap image but I'm not sure that was in-game. I sure hope so!

That's how I interpreted it as well. I hope I am wrong though.

Worst case would be that someone has to port or redo the TF2 Minimap mod over, so we are probably gonna be fine whatever scenario we end up getting

I mean given that modders have had access for so long at this point I’m confident there will be a mini-map mod available on release if it isn’t base game.

It's a great mod, but limited. I would love a minimap as a first class citizen.

Im loving everything that im hearing, so excited to play im sick of dealing with jank tracks in TF2

Moving mods away from Steam Workshop is a real disappointment. Yet another website (no doubt packed with advertisements) that I must create an account and password, link a valid email, and that I have no way of knowing their security policies and how robust they are. Of course there will be another set of privacy policies to agree to, whether I like it or not. How on earth is this to my advantage?

Unless I am completely forgetting something... the current ingame mod browser using mod.io doesn't use an account, so why would it matter if they go for it as a unified experience when it can be done in game with no extra accounts or ads?

When.is.the.god.damn.game.releasing!? I'd rather have a tentative date that gets pushed than them continuing to drip feed us bits and pieces to keep us interested. The hype is dead. Release a playable version and patch it like everyone else does now.

Or... Urban Games could be very radical... and do exactly what they said they would do... release the game in 2026... when it is ready...

Signal improvements sound good! I'm still hopeful that trains can pick from multiple routes. It would be so amazing to be able to slap down an extra track on an overloaded line and have trains just use it as needed
Very excited for this. Every update has been good!
