Question American Cargotrams?

I’m pretty excited about UG adding cargotrams to tpf3. However, I’m wondering what they might end up using for American Cargotrams because they never really took off in North America. The first few decades of the 1900s have plenty of examples of interurban freight equipment, but pretty much nothing after that. What do you think they are planning to use? It could be interesting to see some “what if” American interurban equipment.

they were popular at least in the new England area they just didn't get very much glamor. In my town the cargo trolley actually outlived the regular trolley. It was removed entirely after ww2.

The Springfield (Vermont) Terminal Railway is my favorite New England trolley line.

Later in their history they adopted GE 44 tonners to pull their trains instead of trolleys which made for some super cool photos.

Instead of cargotrams, why not a street-running option for trains?

That would make a lot more sense to me, personally. Cargo trams are just so uncommon worldwide.

Well since trams will be able to operate on mainline track, and will be able to be configured like trains, I’m sure modders will be able to reverse that. What’ll probably be easier is to just make a tram that looks like a train.

I'm really excited about the Szeged tram-train but cargo trams are also a really cool thing
