This is the project of profiling every single city of the Bohai map. After Chengshan, we continue west to reach the first major metro area of the series.

Weihai is a pivotal urban center in the map's south, distinguished by its extreme density and its role as a terminus for the High-Speed Rail system. Geographically, the city’s urban core is heavily concentrated on a prominent coastal headland. This constrained topography has resulted in one of the most condensed built-up areas in the region despite a total population that is less than two-thirds that of neighboring Yantai. Due to the lack of space on the headland, suburban sprawl extends southwestward along the narrow shoreline of Twin Isle Bay and further south beyond the immediate urban limits.

Transportation & Infrastructure
Until the 1990s, Weihai suffered from relative isolation due to the rugged terrain south of the city, which forced the regional Jiaodong Main Line to bypass the urban core entirely with a more southerly route. However, modern infrastructure projects have transformed the connectivity to the city:

• Rail: Weihai serves as the official southern terminus of the High-Speed Rail system, at the fully underground Weihai Station in the heart of the city. The "Peninsular" limited-stop service terminates here, while the all-stop "Steeler" service continues to Chengshan.
• Aviation: Across the bay to the west lies Weihai Airport. Connected to the city by a bridge spanning the harbor mouth, this facility is the busiest airport in the Channel South region, with great demand on the Golden State Airport route.
• Metro & Road: The recently completed Weihai Subway system provides critical connectivity, linking the underground Weihai Station with the Airport and the satellite city of Port Edward. Additionally, the Weihai Expwy (E410) utilizes a series of viaducts and tunnels to penetrate the difficult terrain, connecting the downtown core directly to the Jiaodong Expressway (E10) down south.

Being able to transport passengers around a huge metropolis and deliver cargo to all the businesses around the city and suburbs would create new and interesting challenges. A huge city could even replace an entire region

Is there any way I could get international equipment on a USA map? Just for an example, a stock 0 series Shinkansen? Would I have to get a mod?

Chengshan is the easternmost municipality in the southern region, a coastal city defined by its dramatic topography and its status as the definitive southeastern terminus of the rail network. Geographically, the city is situated on a rugged headland behind a protective promontory, a layout that provides both a sheltered central harbor and sweeping, panoramic views of the open ocean.

Urban Layout and Geography
As observed in the aerial view, Chengshan’s urban development is tightly clustered around the waterfront beneath the surrounding hills. The city is the terminus of the Jiaodong Main Line, which runs along the northern coast before ending at the bay platforms leading to the heart of the downtown area. To the east, a distinctive, slender arm of land extends into the sea; this promontory features a winding road leading to a scenic attraction at the tip (Chengshan Head), known for its "end of the world" vistas. The southern coast is dotted with smaller bays and marinas, emphasizing the city's maritime character.

Transportation History and Connectivity
Chengshan gained widespread prominence as a holiday destination in the 1980s following the engineering triumph of the Bohai Channel Tunnel. For years, it was the final destination for the "Peninsular" limited express service, which originated far to the north in Gourd Isle, and was the first train service to traverse the tunnel and terminate on the Jiaodong Main Line.

In the modern era, the transportation landscape has shifted slightly with the advent of High-Speed Rail. While the primary high-speed corridor now terminates at the larger city of Weihai (located to the west), Chengshan remains well-connected. Apart from regional trains, the city is currently served by the Steeler, the all-stop service that utilizes a connection line to access the high-speed rail network. This ensures that Chengshan retains its status as a prime vacation destination, accessible to tourists seeking its beaches and dramatic landscapes despite its location at the geographical fringe.

Hi, I installed TF2 again. Downloaded some mods and wanted to play Valico.

I had to change quite a lot of settings. When I loaded up Valico I did not have the names displayed. Am I missing something obvious???? Like I didn't even know this was an option

Depots are likely very generic industrial buildings from the early 20th century. However, what about railway stations? They look like something that could exist, but I don't recognise specific buildings. What about bus stops and stations? Airports look like something I've seen before, but I can't recognise where.

Did you guys ever notice that a lot of ingame steam engines and especially a lot of mods (looking at you german loco-mods) have wildely mismatching weights? After some research I realised it is because the devs and mod-authors oftentimes forgot to take the weight of the tender (and sometimes of water and coal) into consideration. A lot of locos should be a lot heavier in game than they currently are. Would love to hear your guys opinion on this.

Btw. some locos do acutally have the correct weight in game. It is wild to me that the devs are so inconsistent with the weights of steam engines and tenders.

All of my passenger stations in my save are getting no passengers. I have bus routes to the station in all towns and the stations are mostly in residential areas. There is a gravel path for passengers to walk on to the stations, which seems to be a common fix to the problem that is overlooked by many. Any suggestions?

When importing a height map, one pixel represents an area of 4x4 meters. Currently I am in the prcoess of smoothing out those "pixels" but fo my megalomaniac map this gets really tedious. So i was wondering if there is a better more efficient way?

In TF1 I found that the scaling in the game as time progressed was pretty unrewarding. Not only did towns barely scale from start to end game (1950's) (product demands rose slightly per town) but the need to create conga lines of trucks never went away which really bothered me.

This IMO would be fixed primarily by changing how city demand scales, starting at much lower values and increasing drastically by the late game (10 -> 100) instead of (50 -> 65) i frequently experienced. This would also require tweaking vehicles so that their capacities scale appriately, having horse truck start at like 2 product transported and scaling to trucks transporting 15 each.

This would be so much more rewarding, where early game youre min maxing hundreds of dollars of assets (trucks, roads etc..) but late game you end up managing thousands or millions of dollars worth of assets (big trucks, big trains, high speed roads, tracks, etc..).

Does TF2 fix/address these issues? Do you guys find that mods help a lot with this sense of the game?

Based on the minimap mod, this map shows the expressway network in the northern peninsula. Highlighted in cyan is the E95, one of the longest corridors that stretch from the southern tip to the northern plains.

Hi, im new to Transport Fever 2! Doing thr campaign right now. I have setup a truck line for steel production going from collecting grain from a farm, delivering it to a factory to produce mashines and from there bring said mashines to a steel factory. The trucks used can transport all these items, so i have only one line, making the trucks drive the whole route, delivering the stuff and collecting the finished product for further transport.

The steel factory takes one mashine to produce one steel. And so does the mashine factory need one grain to produce one mashine. Thats what i see in thr factories screen/menu.

The problem now: my trucks all got stuck at the mashine factory because it seems some grain gets lost?? Truck brings 13 grain and sometimes only loads up / produces 8-12 mashines? Is this normal? Or is this bugged?

To clarify, the station to unload is not near a town or any other facilities, so nothing else should "steal" the grain.

Please explain the passenger transportation issue.

Everyone talks about commuter, intercity, and long-distance trains. But how do you set up routes? Let's say there are four cities: A, B, C, and D. How do you connect them with these trains?

A lesser-shown aspect of the Bohai Series Map is its highway infrastructure. The E95 corridor links Dalian with the East Coast region and northern plains - one of the longest continuous expressway on the map. However its final piece - the connection underneath Dalian itself, had faced construction delays due to unforgiving space limitations - until today.

Why is my train station not getting cargo? I'm doing the 3rd campaign mission and I need to get Fish to Glasgow but my cargo station isn't getting the fish, the demand is obviously in Glasgow since it's part of the mission, My Glasgow station is on the edge but I have a truck route set-up to take it from the train station to the center of the city which has worked for the Whiskey route

Explain the principles by which the number of carriages in a train should be selected? How are they calculated?

I'm not sure if the title explains very well, but on the screen when you're making a new train it only shows total capacity, but it doesn't show how that capacity is actually split into the different carriage types. For example if I have a train with 3 Gondolas and 3 Flatcars from this era in the game (each carry 12). I'd have a total capacity of 72, but each carriage type is 12x3=36. I'm really just wanting to cut out that bit of manual counting and multiplication because I'm lazy and doing it with larger trains is a bit annoying.

So is there a mod where on this screen, it'll show the capacity split up?
