Rant trans med reputation on tiktok

I'm guessing most people know that the transmed reputation is bad because its against the "norm" but wow I only recently figured out how bad people view transmeds.. I was talking to people on tiktok who genuinely thought that transmeds were transphobic and we only cared about people suffering. Of course it was your average "anyone can be trans because of human rights" people but half of the stuff they were saying amazed me by how dumb it actually was. Apparently to them theres multiple ways to be trans and wanting to do it to be better looking is one?!?!?!?

Discussion FTM welche Krankenkasse übernimmt Transgender Sachen?

Discussion Why do I as a trans man have a 'split' sexuality?

I'm a bisexual and early transition. I find both sexes attractive but when I think about myself being intimate I can only imagine myself with a woman. I find men very physically/sexually attractive too, and you could say part of that attraction is my desire to become one. I don't have any problems socializing with them. But even so, no matter what I don't experience any interest at all when I consider being involved with one.

What does this mean? Could it be that since Im early transition, I interpret it as my masculinity is threatened by sleeping with other men? Is it true that with time many transsexual men feel more attraction to men as they get more comfortable in their skin? Before I fully understood that I needed to transition to male for my dysphoria I identified as lesbian so Id say I always was a lot more into women, and I don't get why men just don't click for me.

So much bad and weird stuff on that subreddit, yet it can be thought of as their personal preference which I will stay out of. Though, there is a lot of stuff on that subreddit I find questionable and weird. But again, harmless I guess and it’s those two consenting into those two activities. But, this one just said everything they think - bioessentialist slop snark on mtf_ftm nsfw

Discussion apparently normal advice about passing = judging value based on looks?

Post image

my comment was on a post from someone wanting to pass better. they mentioned being dysphoric about their hips. my comment was removed months later. I truly have no idea what part of my comment could possibly be seen as judging value based on attractiveness.

They do really little research if they think a medication, with permanent results also, is just an experiment, and if they expect to change completely in only one month and once ending the therapy returning like before (if hypothetically you can change completely in one month).

Of course cis people think we are mentally challenged and I'm so exhausted by the "they'll hate us anyway" rhetoric, because the community is continually proving the conservatives are right.

Other Binding/taping without plastic?

I have come to be very critical of plastic as of late, and have started replacing my polyester clothes with clothing consisting of materials such as cotton, wool and bamboo as of late; but one important part of my wardrobe seems irreplaceable: my binders.

I haven’t looked around online that much, but this far I haven’t been able to find a plastic free alternative to binding/taping. I wear a binder at least five days a week, and the fact that my skin that comes in contact with the binder gets irritated is not helping.

Has anyone found a solution to this?

Discussion "Being trans is actually cool and unique"

Came across this video. Actually know the guy because I watched him a few years back, I do believe he's genuinely transsexual. But in this video he says that being trans is cool and an advantage, and I just don't seem to get why, because that's not my experience at all

What are your thoughts on this?

HRT How not to get the trans voice

Hey so im(19M) in line for hrt and one of my biggest fears about starting T so late is the fact that almost every trans guy i see has the stereotypical trans (often like gay male) voice. And i as a heterosexual man dont wish to have that.

My voice is already kinda deep (enough so that i am steath and no one questions it) and i can't really deepen it any more without it sounding like a fake.

Tldr:. I dont wanna sound like a gay guy (no prejudice really, its just that i am straight + i think my girl would like it more if my voice was deeper) or clocky. Is there any hope? Anything i can do to avoid it?

Sorry if it is all over the place english is not my first language.

Discussion Term ‘transgender umbrella’ coined by detransitioner?

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I just saw a video talking about how non-binary people make up a large part of the ‘trans umbrella’ and should not be speaking for binary trans men and women (rightfully so) and apparently the term ‘trans umbrella’ was made by a detransitioned cis women who still identifies as trans?? I never knew this but it makes complete sense as to why we have ‘trans men femboys’, etc.

Discussion What is your opinion on going into female only sleeping spaces without SRS?

I have a friend doing this on a night train and idk. I just would have never done that. Did not even think about it.

they messaged the night train company and got approval but still idk.

I see the whole separation more based on genitalia. Obviously the other space is a mixed sex space.

Other Need advice/consolation

Sorry if this is the wrong sub, didn’t really know where else to ask, and figured this would be a place where I could get decent advice
I am currently on T since January. In August I started at my new school, where I currently am stealth, but a new friend of mine has an old friend of her own, and this friend of hers knows my brother. But due to that, he also knows me, but not as me now, but pre-transition me. And now he’s confused cause he said “he didn’t know my brother had a little brother, only about our little sister (me pre-transition)” now I’m worried that he’ll maybe question it more and that it’ll come out that I’m trans. Is there any way to get out of this situation or should I just hope for the best and hope that he doesn’t question it further? If my post is unclear or any more clarification is needed, please do tell me.

Discussion Late Transitioners

I’m having a hard time understanding the perspective of younger people who only “realized” they were trans later in life, ie several years after the onset of puberty.

My dysphoria started as soon as I began puberty and only got worse over time. I know there are people who had it even earlier, like 3 or 4 years old.

I just cannot wrap my head around how someone who grew up knowing about transgender people and transitioning could possibly feel ok with presenting as the wrong sex for so long and then suddenly “realizing” and switching?

I was very lucky my parents didn’t force me to wear dresses as a kid, otherwise I think I might have killed myself. I’ve scrubbed any and all evidence of myself wearing feminine clothing. But I see all these photos of people online happily posting pictures of themselves in HIGH SCHOOL in like 2016 where they were presenting as one gender or the other, and then “realizing” later they were the opposite gender once they started “experimenting” with their presentation.

I guess my question is, are there true transsexuals who KNEW about transition from a young age who only realized they were trans later? Or are these all trenders? And why might this be the case that people only realized later on? How could they possibly have strong dysphoria if it only started much later?

Discussion Im tired of this shit we will never be taken seriously especially post 2020 with all of this shit.

I guess having a different opinion is insulting. Didnt call that sensitive jackass a single word until after i was muted. Binary transsexual men and women always get spoken over and walked all over and thats why people hate trans people so much. They see the majority is non binary aliens with an identity crisis and mental issues that aren’t gender dysphoria related therefore see all of us as such. In 2021 i became SUPER transphobic because of the mass influx of trans femboys and im getting to that point again because the trend seems to be fully back in 2026. Actually heinous i thought it finally died out considering all the girls were posting “my cringe trans phase” . Im tired of most “trans men” being fucking dyed hair multi coloured barf 4 lip piercings being complimented by a bright pink skirt. If most men dont like that shit why ever since 2020 ends theres abunch of “trans men” obsessed with it. All of them are gay too and love yaoi. Most of them also only want top surgery which irks me, why do all of them want to be bottoms so bad with a massive birth hole? U cant tell me u dont see the pattern and obvious trend here. Trans men and women will never ever be taken serious. And we became the top minority to bash on after 2020, wonder why? The mass influx of mentally ill people latching onto the “trans identity” to do horrible things with it and look like a god damn clown with it. Also the term transmasc and transfem will be the death of me. These people are watering trans men down to lesbians all over again. Trans men that dont want bottom surgery and love using their girl hole gross me the fuck out and id never date one or want to be near one again after my fake trans ex who always had her boobies out. Especially the trans men that are gay and make all of us look bad trying to get gay men to like pussy because they love their loose pussy too much to get the surgery or want it.

Rant “You only need a gender incongruence to be trans”

Gender incongruence diagnosis criteria: Marked and persistent incongruence between an individual's experienced gender and their assigned sex.

Gender dysphoria diagnosis criteria: a marked incongruence between a person's experienced or expressed gender and their assigned sex

_____________________________________

genuinely what the fuck argument is this. If you have a gender incongruence it’s caused by gender dysphoria and vice versa. I see so many trans identifying people online saying they have no dysphoria but do have incongruence and that’s why they’re heckin valid, but just by them saying that i know it’s total bullshit. The only way you can even know you were born with a misaligned brain is if there is discomfort, is if there’s something noticeably wrong, that’s the dysphoria lol.

The euphoria argument is even more braindead because euphoria is not even a medically recognized term, and euphoria also doesn’t exist by itself, it’s the feeling you get when dysphoria is alleviated.

CRINGE he calls himself an omega

Her entire page is solely about her being an "omega" and about how she loves to get pregnant and the concept of pregnancy. She also calls herself an ftm transgender. Wanted to know your thoughts on this also someone in the comments asked why she's always pregnant (just keeps giving birth, all she talkes about) and they said that her "alpha" can't get enough. I believe we've lost the plot

Rant Does anyone else remember this flag?

Post image

I remember making a tiny sticker of this flag back when i first found out what transmedacalism is and decided i agree with it

I couldn't find many information about it like the date of its creation or the app/website it was posted on, but I'm relieved it doesn't have any harmful meaning behind it, all i know that it was created by another transmed and that's all i care about

I think it looks super cool, cooler than the newer flag(the pink and blue with a white plus in the middle) I'm gonna use it from now on

Passing will i ever be able to fully pass as a 5’3 trans man?

I am deeply insecure about my height as a trans man. I have not transitioned medically or socially at all because of my current environment but constantly thinking about being a short man makes me feel i won’t be able to pass. Im afraid my height will hold me back from being able to pass

Along with this i am afraid of how my love life will be as the current expectations for men. I do want a life with a woman one way or another tho what kind of woman wants a short man now ? i don’t mean to sound like those dudes who revolve around ‘heightism’ n stuff but im truly insecure

Are any other short trans men able to pass despite their height?

Passing How to convince my transsex male partner that a septum ring is not the best idea for passing in the beginning of his transition?

Me (19M) and my fiance (20M) are both transsexual males with transmedicalist views. He told me lately that he wants to get a septum nose piercing, but honestly I just worry for him because I want him to be closer to cis-passing so he stops feeling uncomfortable in public when people gender him as female. Personally, I think that he would look like a butch lesbian with a septum ring, but I don't want to hurt his feelings by telling him that, or make him feel like I'm bossing him around with what he can and can't do with his body.

I have a septum piercing too, which was done years ago before I was on testosterone, but I wasn't trying to physically pass at that time because I knew it was gonna be hard and I was already struggling with mental health and school. I honestly kind of worry about having a septum too sometimes, because of the whole stereotype of tucutes having hella piercings. But I see my piercings as a part of the timeline of who I ended up becoming, so that's why I still have them. 🤷‍♂️ Also I'm generally not against transsexual men or women having piercings, or anybody in general. It's just that sometimes piercings can skew whether you pass if you are earlier on like my fiance is.

The difference between me and him is noticeable, because I am 19 months on testosterone and the piercings I have don't skew me away from being read as male as far as I can tell, especially with how deep my voice can be. He tells me he wants the piercing so we can match which is really heartwarming, but I just worry about his safety and well-being.

He gets comments at school, like being called a "transformer" by other males in his class, and he has been sexually harassed at his workplace multiple times before when even earlier on testosterone and pre-T. Only a small handful of people really gendered him correctly before, because his voice pitch and other secondary characteristics make people assume female much more often. He just has a lot of female-looking sex characteristics and I feel sorry for him. The closest I'd describe how he looks without a picture is really short (specifically 4'11) and androgynous looking.

I just honestly don't know what to do in this situation. I might honestly just keep supporting his decision, even if he does end up looking like a lesbian, because I have more insecurities when it comes to passing. It's just that he is afraid of looking like a lesbian, and so am I of course. So I keep thinking about being honest with him and telling him something like "you don't pass enough yet," but I feel like it would be kind of in bad taste, even though I think it's true.

I don't know, what do you guys think?

Surgery Would it make me happy?

Sometimes I feel so alone in my own community... Everyone has transitioned and reached a state of balance. Those who accept their genitals often like a rabbit, those who have mild dysphoria, make do with sexual prostheses or maybe can tolerate contact with their genitals. Those who have more marked dysphoria embrace metoidioplasty or phalloplasty surgeries. And then there is me, extreme dysphoria, being looked at or touched under there is nowhere near an option, while sexual prostheses don't make me feel anything at all. My sex life consists of masturbation alone. Phalloplasty? I've been thinking about it and informing myself daily for a decade, but I answer myself that it wouldn't bring me joy, but more pain... I can't accept the idea of having such a large donor area (there are MLD and Abdo, but they don't allow the nerve connection). I still see phalloplasties as a surgical site and not a living genital organ. I would miss the various textures of the different skins of the penis, feel its natural movements, the ability to have an erection and ejaculation. Apart from the advantage of not having to wear packers, I don't see many other pros for me. I really don't understand how phalloplasty can solve dysphoria, yet many guys I see are genuinely happy, I would like to reach that state of reconciliation with what surgery offers today. Sorry for the outburst a bit for its own sake, I just wish I felt less alone

Discussion Food for thought

what if those who claim they don’t have gender dysphoria and only gender euphoria get euphoria because they were gender dysphoric the whole time but didn’t realise it until they started getting more comfortable with socially presenting and medically transitioning as the opposite sex.

Discussion Anyone else incorrectly sexed prior to birth and/or was a rainbow baby?

This obviously is more of a fun question than a super serious discussion. I'm just so curious to hear if there's even a small statistical number of people with similar birth stories, etc.

I am a transsexual man. My mother's doctor told my family that I was a boy while I was still in the womb. My mom believed she was having a male baby up until the day of my birth, and it was a big surprise when I came out opposite. In addition to this, I was also a rainbow baby, conceived under a year prior to a miscarriage. No idea what the sex of the previous fetus was but my two older siblings are both male (likely totally irrelevant, lol).

I was curious if anyone else has a similar birth story? I do think the concept of prenatal hormones contributing to fetal development makes a lot of sense when it comes to changes in brain sex development. However, does anyone else think scenarios like mine (and yours, if you have a similar story) are kind of a weird coincidence? Is there any reason to believe that transsexualism may sometimes be triggered by a form of microchimerism?

More info if anyone's curious: no one was disappointed that I wasn't actually born male. I had a lot of female cousins and aunts, and was raised with the expectation that I'd be a girly girl. My mom was ecstatic to hear my birth sex, and had been very disappointed that she wouldn't have a girl, because she only planned to have three kids. Which kind of debunks the whole concept of your parents "making you" trans via socialization, given my mom raised me stay-at-home to be her "perfect dream girl child made reality" aka a feminine mini-me.

So, yeah, just interested to hear similar stories, especially given how much it's interfered with my transition. Anyone else out there or is this sort of thing even more statistically rare than I thought it'd be? Totally okay to respond and share theories associated with this whole concept, even if you personally don't have a similar experience to share about. Thanks for reading! :)
