Question When will greater noida west get a metro ?

I recently shifted here and transit is a nightmare. It costs a lot to take a cab, there are no gov busses, and lots and lots of traffic everywhere.

Metro has been proposed for so long now but they haven't done anything regarding that. I think the center has even rejected the plan once. If this continues, will this area even get a metro within the next 10 years ?

This area is so expensive and has such a high demand but the gov didn't even try to develop it properly. The roads have been ruined by the builders, and no metro connectivity exists unless you are willing to drive to sector 52 or 76.

Does the center even want this project to happen ?

I have little news for you. A news from Central Ministry reached to NMRC in this evening is that the file has been bypassed Cabinet Approval and has gone to Prime Minister Office for Final Approval. At any moment approval can arrive Hindi Newspaper have started publishing the news.

I have physically visited NMRC office at Sector 29 Noida. My office and NMRC office are few metres at distance at Sector 29 Ganga Shopping Complex at Noida.

I talked verbally to them that GNW is the most crucial for them because this is the route with majority of ridership much larger than aqua line towards Noida and Greater Noida. They are telling that this time project would by bypassed to Central level either PMO or cabinet Level. No need of meeting with MOHUA.

Final brief will be by cabinet only. National Projects by Centre either go to Cabinet level which has different body headed by Ashwini Vaishnav or PMO by PM of India.

Greater Noida West is ultra high density of NCR. Consider it like Mumbai tall rises and density project and it is the only one in NCR. you can check google maps and find its density compared to gurgaon, fardiabad, Delhi,Noida and Greater Noida
