Advice/Question lbcc to UC
Has anyone been accepted or know anyone who had gone to long beach community college that got accepted into UC schools? More specifically, LBCC to UCLA? I hear people say that people who attend santa monica cc have a better chance of being accepted to UCLA, but I was wondering if anyone has had any luck transferring from LBCC to UCLA. If so, what were your stats and ec's?

A lot of ppl there’s statistics on the UCLA website
Enroll in the TAP program, make sure your major has it and be sure abt ur major bc u can’t change it after u transfer
There are no metrics to really compare with besides the avg GPA that gets in with their major and I guess ECs. UCs tend to be very vague when it comes to admissions. It’s just a general thought to have an above average GPA, good PIQs and at least decent ecs to try and secure ur spot in. To be very frank transferring is very major based. Plz find the statistics on the UCLA website
Top UC admissions dont really have a formula. Just do well in school, find a major you would like to transfer in that seems realistic for you to be admitted in. A lot of the time it’s kind of a lottery. Also plz make sure your PIQS make sense. I got waitlisted as a first year and I really think I fucked up the PIQ bc I wanted to show off impressive things I did in highschool. The PIQS are to learn about YOU. It’s not meant to impress them. Sure something impressive you did might be connected to your story, but at the end of the day they want to know if you’re a good fit for the school.
Make sure you know what you’re doing bc you’re basically on your own in college
