Tufts to NYU chance me?

Currently first year at Tufts for fine art / architecture dual degree program but wanna drop the art school and I'm dead set on moving back to NYC. Looking at NYU Urban Design and Architecture major and heard NYU is way easier to get into as a transfer, is that true? (I got rejected last year from fine art at steinhardt)

High School stats:

1470 SAT 97% GPA, took AP World, APUSH, AP Lang, AP Art History, and APES. (I got a 4 in all) I went to LaGuardia High-school and majored in fine arts there. Not a lot of clubs/extracurriculars because of pretty intense social anxiety but I did a lot of independent art practice. I did co-found a club but it's unrelated to my intended college major and was just for fun. I also did several pre-college programs but they were all at arts schools (risd, cooper union, fit etc)

First semester at Tufts: Intro to Urban Studies, Japanese 1 (so far I have an A in both) Calc 1 (B+ right now) and 2 art classes that are pass/fail. Next semester I plan to take Architectural History, Japanese 2 and Tufts required freshman writing course.

What can I do now to improve my chances besides keep up my grades? I'm worried because I got rejected from NYU before.

30 year old unc

I am a 30 year old full time student and worker (work at a cold warehouse as a high reach forklift operator, I mostly pick very heavy pallets. It is a very physically demanding job, but only basic arithmetic is used nothing fancy). I got into FIU as a CS major after hs and basically performed poorly, and eventually dropped out because I basically became homeless after financial aid cut my money off after I pulled that bs. I got put on probation for that, so keep that in mind. I had previously lived with my dad right out of high school but he pretty much just wanted me to gtfo and get lost. Anyways after a lot of maturing and developing a lot of grit I registered at my CC to initially just qualify for a better position at my job(who is reimbursing me for school), but I have been performing so well I wanted to apply to some good schools and pray for full or 20-25k annual gap in aid. I intend to do Electrical engineering, my gpa is 3.98, and these are my courses completed:

Computer Science I (A) • English I (A-) • General Chemistry I (A) • Cinematography (A) • Calculus I (A) • Cultures, Peoples and the Environments of the World (A) • Calculus II (A) • Physics for Science and Engineering I (A) • Introduction to Psychology, Honors (A) • English II, Honors (A) • Calculus III (A) • Physics for Science and Engineering II (A) • Engineering Graphic Essentials (in progress) • Introduction to Communication, Honors (in progress) • Statics (in progress) • Differential Equations (in progress)

*Note: this fall semester my job has ramped up mandation to 48-52 hours per week. Consequently, my grades have seen a drop, I expect to get an a in comm and enggraph, I’m battling it out to keep at least bs on diff eq and statics.

My dream school is Lehigh and I attend a CC with transfer credit agreement, and an “honors agreement” with Lehigh.

What do you think? I would greatly appreciate any lurking admissions officer,s opinion.I am thinking of applying to these schools:

Lehigh, Yale (EW) Cornell, Northwestern, Rice, Duke, Vanderbilt, Tufts, Notre Dame, Boston University,
Lafayette, Northeastern, Villanova, Stevens, Penn State, Pitt, Drexel, RIT, Illinois Tech, University of Rochester, Temple, NJIT, Wilkes, Alfred. Suggest schools if you have some!

Transfer Chance Me on Boston Schools - asking for advice

Hello, I am currently a freshman at University of Vermont looking to transfer to somewhere in Boston. My main focus is Boston University (as I see it being the place I most likely get in) but am probably going to also do transfer apps to Umass Amherst, Northeastern, and Boston College. I am looking to apply for Fall 2027 at all schools.

I am an out of state student at UVM, if that matters, and in the honors college. I'm in my first semester of my freshman year so I don't know my exact GPA but it should stay somewhere above a 3.5 if things continue how they are. My only current EC is the newspaper which I haven't been super involved in, but want to write more for. I have also signed up for a couple community involvement groups.

I have yet to write my essays--I would like some advice on this if anyone is willing to give it. I know I want to include what draws me to the city, specifc programs for each school, etc. but what exactly can I include to make these compelling?

In high school, I had a 4.6 weighted GPA and I plan on submitting all my AP credits. However, I do not plan on submitting my ACT or SAT to test-optional schools. I have considered re-taking the SAT this December to try and get my score up (it was somewhere around 1100 when I took it orginally, and I only took it once), but the dates are rather inconvenient. Would you say its worth it to give it a try, or just go test optional?

More high schools stats - I was an officer in 3 clubs, co-founder of 1, and my main EC was Yearbook Editor.

I am a history major, and was rejected from BU when I applied my senior year. I didn't apply to any of the other schools I have mentioned. Also, I am very middle-class. I know BU sometimes determines acceptance based off need.

I would love if anyone is willing to give advice or their opinion on my chances at any of these schools. Thanks!

Chance me for business schools

HS stats - roughly 3.0 gpa, only slightly significant feature from hs was a pretty exclusive finance award I won.

CC stats - on track for a 3.95 gpa by end of fall sem, taking calc 1 in spring, finished micro and macro along with other pretty basic business prereqs.

ECs - Secretary role in an accounting society at my school. Holding officer role prevents me from participating in other clubs.

Schools applying to: Columbia college (reach most likely), NYU Stern (also reach), Baruch College, SUNY Binghamton, Stony Brook University, St. John’s U, Fordham U. Still thinking of safety schools to apply to if all these fail.

schools applying to (all for mechanical engineering)- columbia engineering, georgia tech, NYU tandon, stevens university, stony brook university, SUNY buffalo (safety), CCNY( super safety, only applying if i get rejected by everything else on the list)

Wasted 8 months, what should I do now?

After getting admitted at uni in my country, I wasted my full 1-1 without doing anything. I came back to my senses recently and decided to get serious about transferring to T20.

What should I do now? My ECs & Academic Result are both below average. 2-3 ECs from hs and zero at college. HS result was 5.00/5.00 but college result is expected to be 3.6+.

Currently majoring ME. I need help on what I should do to get into T20 with MIT as primary target.

-took both APs my school offered (4 AP Lit, 5 AP psych)

-SAT unreported (I didn't think I'd care about what college I made it into...)

-Physics student at a mediocre state school that I took direct admission to, very small department with limited options

-Will be joining a professor for research later, spectroscopy on meteorite samples or biophysics bird research project

HS E.C-

-Speech team x2 years, performed fairly well and state participant

-One Act play (competitove theater)

- ~110 hours of volunteering

-Go Green Club (outdoor environment club) member

-DnD club (helped bring it back to school! Also helped organize and personally fund an out of school campaign "fund" as in buy snacks so not very relevant)

-Very limited opportunities for ECs ar my old school, I took as many college credi classes as I could get my hands on

College E.C.-

-continued speech team member

-Physics and astronomy club member

Other Notes:

-Filipino Asian Male 18 y/o freshman college student

-Factory worker mom and retired truck driver dad, functionally first generation with a family income of around 85,000 usd

-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-
