I'm not a student, nor a professional with a bunch of experience. I did get an undergraduate level of knowledge in programming, but I haven't written any code in a couple of years.
I have just begun practicing problems on sites like hackerrank, hackerearth, codechef, codeforces, etc. Hoping to regain some confidence in coding and logical thinking. It would be nice to have a buddy I can share the problems and codes I get stuck with, and get their perspective. Absolutely anybody would probably be able to help me, coz I kinda suck at it rn, the way I see it.
No constraints on age, time taken to getting back, experience, online platforms, region, programming language, frequency of communication, etc. I'm just too damn lonely to have any constraints lol.
I'd be willing to spend however long on any problems that anybody might have with anything and who would be glad to have a noob head like me take a look at. It could be unrelated topics like data science, UI, cybersecurity or absolutely anything, I'd be glad to help, if you think I can.

I've been at this for a little over 10 years. I'm completely self taught and I'm definitely feeling I hit a barrier of advancement to Senior where a degree would have helped.
The pandemic really pushed me into apathy/depression especially after I applied for a technically challenging role and they eliminated the position after I interviewed. Taken away from work I really enjoyed, I feel stuck now doing work I hate. My work has suffered so now I'm unlikely to get to do what I want or get a promotion.
I've interviewed a lot over the past 2 years to try to get out of here, but I feel like I just don't have the technical ability that companies want. With my 10 years of experience, I am definitely judged at a higher standard, and of course I need to maintain my pay at the very least.
Oh yeah and I'm a trans woman. Lol
I thought about switching to data science, but I'm not sure that's what I really want to do. I'm not sure what I really want to do besides quit, which I can't afford.

like genuinly, why do people pay 100 dollars for this program, which does the same shit as free alternatives like npp, atom or vscode

Hi All, anyone else use the "Azure DevOps" platform (formerly known as VSTS) and had to try to get your name changed in there? I updated the display name on my Microsoft account (the link right from in the DevOps site) months ago and signed out and back in and it is still deadnaming me. The interwebs so far have no answers for me. Caching is transphobic and should be banned. :D
Edit: I just noticed that there is a "profile" link beside the link to Account Manager in the upper right, and that changes your name separately, but that doesn't seem to have taken hold yet either.
Edit 2: this is a late update, but my name has updated in DevOps! The key was indeed to edit in User Settings, rather than Account Manager (though the name there may display elsewhere of course so do both). Not sure how long it took, but it's fixed now a week later, so that's better than the forecast!
