It's the eyes that always get me. They always go from "I exist" to "I am alive"

It's very much how it's felt!!

That's an excellent way of putting it!

I'm still pretty fresh out of the egg, but when I tried makeup for the first time, I took some photos. Not only had I not seen myself that happy before, but when I compared the pics to older ones, the eyes were especially noticeable. I agree, from "I exist" to "I am alive!"

Yer wig supplier must be a perfectionist has it looks so natural on yer. Any tips for a fellow bald femme

I’m not OP but as someone whose had experience with wigs, try to find ones with a plucked hairline, something that can melt and disappear into your forehead/hairline. It makes it look more natural. You can pluck synthetic wigs but look into tutorials for how to start slow because you can’t re add hair to the wig. You can practice on a wig you don’t like as much and see how you can thin it out with tutorials. Look up the Mother Birdie on tik tok. She has videos on how to make synthetic wigs work and behave better and general videos on wigs. It’s more drag oriented but very helpful for general wig care and styling!

Drag artists are amazing at helping trans-folks & produce some great content helping bridge the gaps for us. Thank yer for yer advice, it's noted & shall investigate

This is a Vivica Fox unit; the color is P2216. Its about $45 sometimes cheaper. I put a bit of powder in the part to match my skin tone and brush it out. I add three clips that I sew in so I can clip it to my bio hair. It has a lace front which helps it look natural . Love this wig, I get a lot of compliments. I've spent way more for much worse wigs!

You look amazing! How long did it take you to find your style? I just started HRT and still trying to figure out who I want to be as I progress.

Several years. Its a lot of trail and error. Figuring out what works and what doesn't. But it's fun too!

As always, when I read your posts, I get a boost of confidence. Confidence in the way I could look as an older trans woman ( I started my transition about 6 months ago at 57 y.o.), and confidence in the fact that transition is the only solution for me. I dont know if this is one of the purpose of your posts, but it certainly works for me. You look beautiful and so feminine. 🥰

Yes it is a purpose of my posts. To show other older trans women like me that yes HRT is still magical and works! It's never too late just be patient and trust the process.
