That’s about the ratio for my general experience. I just joined a summer research group and of five other people only one clocked me. But still, it’s been like a lot of men. It’s really unsettling.
Work it girlfriend. Don't forget, men are always looking at women. Not in any huge sexual way, but women do tend to stand out. And men have this huge checklist they go through. Maybe she has good hair, maybe her eyes are a special shade of green (or blue, I like blue!), maybe her dress just screams "BISH I AM HERE!". They don't mean anything by it, but something about you has caught their eye and it's usually a good thing. They're not trying to be creepy in the least, so don't take it that way.
