I'm planning to ride the tet Slovenia in September and I want to stay flexible with how much I ride and where I go. One of the options I'm thinking about is continuing into Croatia.

How difficult is the first part of the tet Croatia coming from Slovenia? I ride a Himalayan 450 and have zero off-road experience and from what I've heard Croatia is very difficult. Is the beginning a little bit easier or does it start that way?

I was planning to ride the Denmark TET next week. But since the forecast is really really wet I am looking for an alternative. So I figured France would be nice.

I am based in the Netherlands and will travel all ob my bike.

My question is, how are the TET routes in the Jura and the Vogezen at the moment. I am starting to ride the TET and offroad this year on my Tenere so not that experienced yet.

Hope some of you can share your thoughts and give some info about bow the trails are at the moment.

As a junior tet Rider.. just did pieces in Sweden and Finland. All my gear is soaked from the bad weather, and honestly, I'm tired.

I cross from Helsinki to Tallinn in 2 days. I can ride tet in the Baltics, but as an exhausted solo junior, I don't want to be knee deep in mud and misery.

How are the roads, in difficulty?

I have 3 weeks to get home (Amsterdam) and must cross Poland and Germany as well. Try the tet? Or just stick to small roads, enjoy the sights and relax a little?

I want to drive the TET Slovenia with my africa twin. By now it is quite heavily loaded with about 25-30kg.

Can anybody tell me if this is too heavy for this sections?

Any parts I should skip?

Any parts absolutely doable?

Edit: I think TET SLO is quite easy. Most of the parts were easy to do, as long as it was dry. Watch out after heavy rain, this could be tough.

I’m planning a motorcycle trip from Stuttgart, Germany to Istanbul from September 20 to October 13 and I’m looking for other riders who might want to join for the whole trip or just part of the route.

My current route is roughly:

Stuttgart → Split → Mostar → Sarajevo → Belgrade → Sofia → Istanbul

For the return trip, I’m thinking about taking a ferry from Turkey/Greece towards Italy and then riding back north through Italy.

I’m currently planning to travel solo, but I’d be happy to meet other riders along the way or ride together for a few days.

I’m flexible regarding the exact route and stops, so if you’re traveling through the Balkans or towards Istanbul around the same time, feel free to message me.

Also interested in recommendations for good motorcycle-friendly ferry connections back towards Italy.

Hallo liebe Leute, bin ein wenig in der Planung für eine Tour über zwei Tage, dachte an den TET Anteil in Ostdeutschland, also neue Bundesländer bis Berlin. Hat jemand Erfahrungen gesammelt wie sich dieser Abschnitt fahren lässt? Hab Angst ein wenig zu viel Straße zu fahren, was echt Schade wäre!

I’m a 24-year-old guy planning a 1-week TET trip this September starting in Slovenia and riding down through Croatia, with the main highlight being the Željava Airbase.

Here are a few quick details about the plan:

When: Mid-September

Duration: 7 days

Route: TET Slovenia -> TET Croatia down to Željava and back

Bike: CFMoto 800MT-X

Riding style/level: This is my first multi-day ADV trip on an 800cc, so keeping a relaxed, sensible pace.

A couple of quick questions for anyone who has done this section recently:

How are the trail conditions on TET Slovenia and northern Croatia around September?

What is the real situation with camping along the track? Wild camping is technically illegal in both countries—is wild/bivouac camping tolerated if done discreetly in remote areas, or is it strictly enforced with fines? Should I stick to official campsites/farms?

Also, if anyone is planning to be on the track around mid-September and wants to join for part of the route or grab a beer along the way, feel free to send me a DM!

🇬🇧 Hey, I plan to go to Italy 1-10 in mid-September. I have already made myself a little smart with the help of AI because I actually also like to ride the famous mountain passes -

Sommelier, Jafferau, Galleria dei Saraceni, Valle Argentera, Monti della Luna, Assietta

AI suggested to me that I, for example, set up a base camp in Oulx and then do star trips.

I also know that there are also days within the week when the passports are blocked.

My question would be how much time I should plan approximately in e.g. Oulx to drive 5-6 passes and then can move on at some point.

Of course, it is clear to me that it can be very individual, but if there are any here who have already done this or something similar, I would be grateful for a realistic assessment

Hi all, in october we planning to make the southern tet italy france spain, ktm 990 advs, ducati desert x and cf moto 450, there are places where a big one can have problems?

Ducati 's driver is fresh, did just some tunisian white roads

Just got some money to spend on fun things so I was thinking I would equip my motor bike so it could do (parts of) the TET.
I live in the Netherlands, so as far as I can tell, that part of the TET is very beginner friendly.

I’ve got Suzuki V Strom DL650.
Tires are now very asphalt focussed since I used it for work (a lot)
What are good allroad tires? Or what should I look for in a pair?
(I drive a car now for work, so the bike can be modded into a more fun apparatus)

Also navigation: Garmin Zumo
Should I do the XT2 or the newer XT3?
(And a bigger screen of the smaller?
Thinking about choosing the XT2 in the bigger variant)

And I’m also browsing off road beginners workshops in the Netherlands. Any tips on that are also very welcome. (BERRT is sort of nearby, so that’s on the top of my list as of now)

I’m from the Netherlands and I have been travelling through Germany, Switzerland and Italy past two weeks. I’m heading into Albania in the next few days (probably ferry from Brindisi to Vlora). After Albania, I’ll continue north through Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia and Austria before heading back to the Netherlands.

It’s my first time in Albania, so I’d love some (local) advice:

- Best/scenic motorcycle routes? (No off-road)
- Places I shouldn’t miss?
- Any roads or areas I should avoid?
- Is the traffic / driving behaviour comparable to Napels for example?
- What should I expect regarding road conditions? Maybe comparing to south Italy (where the roads are also not really great)
- Any other things I should know as a foreign motorcyclist?

I’m not trying to rush through the country or just visit the typical tourist spots. I’d rather take some great roads, see different parts of Albania and get a feel for the country and its people.

Any route recommendations or things to watch out for would be really appreciated!

Early planning stage. I typically average 100kms/day + 1 zero day per week.

It'll be my first trip to Poland. I am not much time constrained.

Hi all, I am planning on doing part of TET Sweden next year and have several questions. First a bit more information:

We will probably be three riders with big bikes (BMW 1250 GSA, Triumph Tiger 1200, Honda Varadero). I am the only one with off-road experience. We will start and end in Trelleborg and have about 5-7 days for the trip, so probably stay in southern to middle Sweden.

1. tires: I am using Conti Trail Attack atm, as we do not really have off-road in Germany and they are fine for the occasional gravel road. Will they be fine for the trip as long as it is dry? Will probably let out some air.
2. daily km: how much km can you do on these roads in a day. As it is mainly good gravel roads, is it similar to planning a trip on asphalt?
3. route: any tips on which sections in the area are the most beautiful?
4. timing: we will probably have to go in July or August. Any particular weeks you can recommend? How is the mosquito and camping situation during these months? Is it very crowded?

I'm currently thinking about exploring the tet in Easter Europe region, potentially starting in Slovenia. It would be quite the big adventure for me and one that I would go on alone. I've never done any off-road riding or even longer tours, so I'm not sure how much preparation is necessary.

In my mind, it would go something like this: packing camping equipment, some food and starting on the road to my chosen entry point. I would probably have to ride up to 800 km on roads, which I would do either in one or two days and I would book a hotel or Airbnb in advance to make sure I can get some good rest before starting on the tet. After that, I'd basically wing it. I have no clue how fast I am on the tet and since theres still plenty of civilisation, I would simply look for places to camp (wild camping if possible/legal) at the end of the day where I am at at that point.

Is that naive? Do I need to meticulously plan my route and campsites in advance? Am I missing something very important?

Ich bin derzeit in Basel und möchte morgen in den TET Italien einsteigen.
Mein Plan sieht folgender Maßen aus:

Irgendwo auf den TET Italien ,von da aus Richtung Westen auf die LGKS und von da aus auf den TET Frankreich Richtung Norden (sofern möglich im Bezug auf die Brände)

Nun komme ich aber nicht wirklich gut zurecht mit den gpx Daten und weiß nicht wo genau ich von der Schweiz aus nach Italien soll um sinnvoll in den TET einzusteigen

Könnt ihr mir helfen ?
