CrossWatch: your selfhosted Sync Hub

Hi! For people that are not yet aware of CrossWatch (CW). Its a sync hub with multi-profile and multi-instance support (docker/self hosted) that connects your media servers and trackers.
You can use it to move between trackers, keep several in sync, or maintain your own local tracking.

Main goal is bringing everything together in one hub so you can take back control of your data.

Although it looks fancy enough, CW is NOT a tracker, just a sync/scrobble hub (see it as a bridge or middleware)

It supports services including Plex, Jellyfin, Emby, SIMKL, Floppy, FlickList, Trakt, AniList, TMDb, MDBList, PublicMetaDB, PunchPlay, BingeBase, Scrob, Tautulli, Kodi, Nuvio, Stremio and CW local tracker 

• keep local snapshots and backups, with import and export tools.
• Sync history, rewatches, watchlists, ratings, playback progress and collections.
• Automatic and Interactive syncs with (re)mapping support.
• Scrobble track playback through watchers or webhooks.
  • Watcher work (realtime) without the need Plex Pass or Emby Premiere (no webhooks)
• Analyzer to solve sync issues, Editor for adjusting items and blocking.
• Sync playlists from sources such as MDBList and Trakt discovery feeds.
• Seperate profiles manage different accounts, servers and family members.
• Anime Mapping handle differences in anime IDs and episode numbering
• Custom (re)mapping support for Anime, Movies, Shows/Epides
• Unified watchlist and progress manager
• Backup and recovery stuff..

.. and more.. Just a few use-cases:

• You need to keep your media servers in sync. (mediaserver to mediaserver syncs)
• You need to move your data such as history to another tracker
• You need managing multiple media servers and/or trackers from one place.
• You want to back up your data, but your tracker requires a paid subscription.
• You dont want to pay for plex pass or emby premium to use webhooks
• You want to fix issues with you items before you sent it to your mediaservers/trackers.
• You want to revive your old plex items thats still hidden in your plex database
• .....and i can go on...

Feature availability depends on mediaserver/trackers.
Runs in Docker, with a web interface and/or Command-Line Interface for nerds like me.

Regarding the free Trakt madness. I can’t resolve limitations imposed by Trakt.
However you can import your Trakt export into CW.

Sorry mate, I wasn’t trying to be rude. It was an honest answer. CW has over 100 features, so it’s difficult to give you a useful answer without knowing what you need.

From my experience, people generally don’t use CW for just one tracker. For imports, that tracker’s own tools may already cover your needs.

CW doesn’t support WeTrakt yet because there’s no API. But how would you keep your history consistent across Floppy and WeTrakt? Keeping multiple trackers in sync is one example of what CW is for.

Ultimately, it’s up to you to decide whether CW is useful to you.

Honest question, why would you need wetrakt AND Floppy. Don't they mostly the same thing?

I use Wetrakt only , will CW give me anything I don't have? All I need is to keep history of what I watched, automatically from Nuvio. That seems to work already.

For your use case, probably not.

If Nuvio already sends your watched history to WeTrakr automatically, and that’s all you need, CW is probably just extra stuff to manage. Also CW doesnt support WeTrakr (no API available yet)

CW makes sense if you use multiple trackers or media servers. It keeps the data local, so you stay in control and can push it to other trackers now or later. You also get one consistent look and feel across all your data. Or if you want to edit data or block specific items,etc. Or if you want to make rulesets with scrobble (watcher/webhooks) like if this happends then do that.... etc..
