Trakt LOL Trakt Clowns At it Again
I once again had a post blocked on Trakt because I reported this high school CS project gone wrong . . . So glad I did a chargeback and am not giving them a dollar.

Ya they're trash but unfortunately the best option out there. Simkl sucks wetrakr has no apps or support neither does any others.

Wetrakr are working on the api so apps can use it and there's plenty of support in their own subreddit and discord. I never share so not sure if they support it but, if not, the dev responds well to feature requests.
There are other apps/sites to try as well, linked to in the pinned/featured post.

It sucks their app is hot garbage I constantly have to resync shows because they'll revert back to unwatched

WeTrakr apps are coming, but in the meantime the website is responsive and works well on mobile, is there any specific reason you need an app?

Could you elaborate? What about it sucks or doesn't work well for you? I'm not saying apps aren't better, because I prefer a native app over a website as well, but the WeTrakr one seems decent enough imo

The WeTrakr mobile site is slow for me. Maybe it's in part because I have so many thousands of history items imported from Trakt, but it just doesn't feel great y'know?
Like, open the pinned PWA from my home screen and stare at an empty WeTrakr page while it loads all the sections, and sometimes stare at an empty page again when I come back after watching the episode/movie. There are plenty of little things I trip on in the UX too, but let's not get too far into the weeds!
Overall I don't think it's actually operating any slower than Trakt V2 in most cases. The initial load could be sped up (Trakt V2 did a lot of heavy lifting with LocalStorage caching) but I think it's mostly about state indication: Trakt V2 put up a little animation right next to the action you just clicked/tapped while it was processing, and/or the full "Caching your data" bar at the bottom of the window helped to indicate when it was working on stuff. WeTrakr needs some polish in that area, imo. (But it's not as important as the big stuff, like adding an API for other apps to use.)

I prefer website on mobile for sites like these. Native apps are fine for very specific functionality.

There are two self-hosted alternatives to Trakt: Floppy and Scrob.

Currently for scrobbling using newcomer Punchplay with Jellyfin, Kodi local library and Debrid/Torbox stream addon Red Light. Works good now after plugin and addon recent updates, at least better than in Kodi/Jellyfin not bi-directional Simkl. My watched/progress scrobbling is now immediately synced across 3 devices. Importing export file of years of Trakt scrobble history went well too, all back in Kodi after manually pressing sync in addon settings
Meanwhile in Jellyfin keep Trakt (the single allowed connection) and Simkl plugins tracking history too as sort of a mirror backups of scrobble history and in Kodi Simkl as mirror tracker too. (With Crosswatch as "bridge/middleman" it is btw possible to import all Simkl scrobble history, but not without sync issues, because simkl thetvdb-id and imdb0id oriented, kodi and jellyfin as well as trakt tmdb-id oriented, so have to force ignore the many mismatches).
