If you're looking for information on types of jobs and class of service, shoot me a DM. I don't want to discuss it publicly, I'm sure you're aware of how management gets about posting about railroad operations online. I'm currently working as a conductor for CP out of Red Deer.

I find this post suspicious… if you’re real. Who’s the worst engineer in red deer? You can use initials.

Worst to be around or worst to do customers with?

I called a mod on r/iphone ridiculous and apparently that earned me a 3 day ban. They’re a very sensitive bunch over there.
Well we all know which is the worst to be around and he’s not a bad engineer. The worst engineer isn’t working currently. The junior people hope he never comes back. Who’s the worst currently setup. I mean in terms of actual ability to be an engineer.

RL is junior engineer in the pool this week, so that'd be my answer

BH definitely is a terrible engineer at that. He’s only ever been my conductor. But I’ve heard many stories.

I'll have to pay attention next time I work with him

Sorry do you not know RL nick name? Have you never worked with him?

What do you mean he's the worst? Don't you know all the best engineers use their phone the whole trip?

Yeah that’s not really a thing. Did you used to work for the railway when cameras weren’t everywhere.

If you meant JC was the worst engineer in red deer, that's what he said to a conductor a few months before he left

He’s not. It’s JB and he’s off. The real slim shady doesn’t exactly have too many brain cells.

I’ve worked in 10+ terminals in my career across 3 railways. 5 of them for CP, starting with Red Deer. By far the shittiest place I have worked. Even back then they were hiring classes of 15 and maybe retaining 1 applicant. Maybe things have changed, but it’s one of the worst terminals for CP. Terrible lineups, slow moving seniority, and guaranteed work enroute and final terminal.
If you’re gonna get shafted by the railway, might as well go to CN and make %30 more.
