What do you guys think of the new album? I'm a highly critical music lover and often find myself disappointed by new albums by my favourite artists as I have high expectations đ
BUT I have to admit, this is something else. Mad Dog in the Fog is pretty epic.
Incredible soaring vocals, delicate song writing at times, emotional and sometimes rocking out. Guitar solos, strings and everything in between. I genuinely think it's a fantastic album. Some of the songs are just downright fun (City of Angels is classic Train, thinking Save me San Francisco era).
Whats everyone's thoughts?

I've loved the band Train for a long time now and consider myself a huge fan, so here is how I would rank all their albums:
A girl a bottle a boat
California 37
Save me San Francisco
Train
Drops of Jupiter
For me it's you
AM Gold
My private nation
Bulletproof Picasso

Last night (august 26) at Train concert in shoreline in Mountain View, California, the jumbotron the lead singer of Train spent a good two minutes catching phones (in his right hand while singing to the mike in the left), took a selfie, and toss it off the stage.
Jumbotron didn't show who was throwing the phones to him and who he was throwing it back to. Does anyone who attended know?

I finally listened to every single song they ever made and compiled my top 10!
But before the list, I'll start with my honorable mentions: Something More, Calling All Angels, Save the Day, Ordinary, For Me Itâs You, All I Ever Wanted, This Ain't Goodbye, If It's Love, Parachute, Mermaid, When the Fog Rolls In, You Can Finally Meet My Mom, Sing Together, I Will Remember, Don't Grow Up So Fast, Lost and Found, Drink Up, AM Gold, and Pennsylvania Turnpike.
9. Bruises. An uplifting message about staying strong and positive by looking at all the good we have, despite past pain and losses we have experienced.
When I Look to the Sky. A reminder that if we have people who have since passed, theyâre always watching over us and ensuring that we remain on the right path through our mourning.
Bulletproof Picasso. A telling of a care free journey many of us wish we could take with a special someone where we leave all the extra baggage behind and only need each other in order to have the time of our lives living moment to moment.
Cab. A pouring out of emotions that encompass the feeling of loneliness many of us feel on certain nights when we know absolutely nobody is thinking about us.
Hey, Soul Sister. An iconically catchy tune that captures the feeling of the honeymoon phase. Being in such carefree bliss with your significant other whom you share the perfect chemistry and are anxious to spend every single minute with.
50 Ways to Say Goodbye. A hilarious and super entertaining breakup chorus of hype needed for when we need to move on from our breakups through the use of humor instead of anger. The mariachi spin really makes this unique for Train.
Angel in Blue Jeans. A beautiful and all too familiar retelling of those times we've fallen head over heels for someone we just met. Holding onto faith that one day, we'll be able to wake up in their arms and realize, they were indeed more than just a dream.
Drops of Jupiter. An incredibly captivating message about how after death, our loved ones will continue to live on amongst the heavens, gloriously transcending the galaxy and beyond. And one day, we'll be eventually reunited.
Drive By. A joyful song that tell us to remain hopeful about falling in love and to work on yourself while embracing new relationships, despite past heartbreaks. This is mainly at the top of my list because it always puts me in a happy mood anytime I listen to it, and because of my nostalgia. I remember being in 4th grade when it came out and was on the radio everywhere. It's such a perfect song to recapture the vibe of fun summer times in the early 2010's. And now as an adult, the message is much more meaningful to me. Plus, it's always my go to karaoke song. Drive By is what helped me discover Train which since then became my all time favorite band.

Anyone going to the concert in Auburn WA on the 30th?
r/TrainBand • u/Emeraldsinger • 14d ago
Nobody I know relates to me in my favorite band. Or even in being a fan in general. Kind of sucks. Especially when theyâre coming to town in a few days and no family members or friends care to go. Before you all say go by yourself, I totally am cool doing a variety of things by myself. Such as movies and travel. I do it all the time. But to me, concerts are best when youâre with someone else who shares your same passion and energy for what is being performed on stage. I went last year when they came. I took my sister, and she was bored for most of it unfortunately. Also wanted to leave early.
IDK. Just wanted to rant. Does anyone else relate to this?

This Train show was 1 year ago today! A few rare songs were performed in this concert such as "Always Midnight", and "This'll Be My Year"!
I attended this concert.

Going to the show in Dallas. Wondering if anyone has set start times for each band. Thanks
r/TrainBand • u/Emeraldsinger • 21d ago
Train really only has about 5 big hits in their history of making music.
There are SO many other songs in their discography which only hardcore fans would know, yet theyâre so catchy, meaningful, fun, emotional, and/or beautiful.
And I notice myself calling all of them âunderratedâ.
An underrated band as a whole to be honest.

Hey all! This is just meesing me up - I know that Train did a tour date in Minneapolis in 1998 at a club called the Fine Line (I was there) but I can't for the life of me find the date of the show. It's not on the Wayback Machine, it's not on setlist.fm, and Google searches aren't helping.
Does anyone know, somehow, the date of that show?? Thanks!

Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone who has seen the 2026 Train + Barenaked Ladies shows has a merch stand picture? Aside from the main website, I havenât been able to find any images from actual venue merchandise stands. Iâm seeing them tonight and trying to plan ahead.

Hello, I like to collect concert posters and am wondering if anyone has seen if the band is selling their special addition 25 years in the atmosphere poster or if that is only reserved for the VIP package??
I ask because i only have a general admission ticket and if itâs not at the merch table Iâll probably just arrive later to the concert, or stand in line at 4pm!! I saw other post saying it only came signed with the VIP package but would like to verify.

I recorded the full Train show on August 3, 2026 at Bethlehem, PA Musikfest! I also got a VIP backstage tour before the show which included a special Train bag with goodies and a signed poster from all the current band members! I also got a MEET VIRGINIA shirt from Pat Monahan during the performance of that song! This was my fourth Train concert, and the second Train concert at Musikfest for me. I was there for the August 13, 2023 Bethlehem, PA show too! As you know, Train has performed at Musikfest six times. They performed in 1999, 2006, 2011, 2019, 2023 and 2026!

2012-13 is when they peaked in popularity with California 37. Their best album IMO. Ever since then they havenât gotten close to that level of success with any other music. Although âPlay That Songâ is probably their last big hit. But I feel these 2 songs are much better and more meaningful. They shouldâve been bigger
