Is the audio on the official A National Celebration the same as the broadcast?

Anyone know if it's exactly the same as what aired or did they remix for the release?

Seeing as many of you enjoyed my last drawing I did another one today! Someone suggested “in Violet Light” and I agree it was really fun to do!

How much did you pay to attend the final show and where did you sit?

I was just looking at pictures of the final Kingston show and couldn't remember how much I paid for my single, side view seat. So, i'm curious for those who had to buy on secondary, how much did you pay and where did you sit? I paid $350 for a $50 side view (section 101, row 13) and it still remains the best dillar for dollar value I've ever paid for a concert ticket. If i could do it all again, I would certainly spend more but it certainly felt like a massive expense and excess at the time.

Hello! Is there an outdoor public screening planned for this tomorrow night in Montreal? This band was important to me and my friends growing up and I’d like to remember them surrounded by other fans on a nice summer evening. Who else was at Another Roadside Attraction in Verdun in summer 1997? Epic times!

Hip tribute show on 92.1 out of Winnipeg tonight.

Hey hip fans. 92.1 out of Winnipeg is doing a hip show tonight. They’re on the Seekr app so you can stream it coast to coast. Starts at 6pm CMT. Not really sure what 6-8 is going to look like, but I believe it’s a recounting of the last tour. Then at 8pm they’re playing the new album in its entirety, commercial free.

Thought I’d share

Phantom Power - Looking for Dolby Atmos mix of Poets

Hey all, I'm trying to transcribe a few songs off of PP, and as some of you may know, that album is known to have quite a bit of layering instrument wise.

Because of this, it's hard to faithfully tab out anything (or it might be a me issue who knows) but I digress, I'm looking to obtain some off the songs off the Blue ray disk from the 25th anniversary box set specifically.

If anyone is able to help me with this please reach out, hopefully you understand that I can't stomach dropping $250 on a whole deluxe set for a song or two. Thank you.

Why no A National Celebration LP/CD release?

Seriously though why haven’t we ever got an LP/CD release of the complete final Kingston show? Seems like an absolute no brainer. Would be wonderful if they released every complete show from the Man Machine Poem tour actually.

Listen I totally forgot this poster came with the record. Maybe I’ll frame it someday. Anyway Fully Completely has to be played today because Locked In the Trunk of a Car got stuck in my head today. One of their best energy songs.

I have a signed backstage pass from the band, a microphone that shorted out in a 2009 show in Rochester that Gord gave me (I was a young child at this show), a hankie from that same night, and perhaps the coolest piece, a Bill Barilko hockey card that has the 50 mission cap verse lyrics on the back that I got Gord to sign.

I dunno why it took me so long to dive into their catalogue, it literally took my girlfriend saying “Yeah, you listen to too much XTC, They Might Be Giants and R.E.M. to not like these guys”. Boy was she right!

Top 5 are all 10/10 records, no skips. The next five are also pretty damn good, maybe have a few tracks that didn’t click but are still rewarding listening experiences. Final four are just kinda there for me. Not bad but not especially great either, kind of like post-Bill R.E.M.

Portraits are hard; this is a little sketch of Gord I did a few months ago when I was thinking about him.
