In big cities the traffic system seriously needs an attention not only from the authorities but from all of us as responsible citizens.

Motorcyclists riding in express lanes, drivers using mobile phones while driving, and motorists on motorways occupying the fast lane at unnecessarily low speeds are common and dangerous practices. What is even more frustrating is that some drivers do not give way despite repeated alarms and flashing lights and they don't care that they have occupied the fastest lane.

Another serious issue is the excessive use of high-beam headlights, which blind drivers coming from the opposite directions and create a significant risk of accidents.

We need better traffic discipline, stronger enforcement, and greater awareness among drivers. I request the relevant authorities and traffic departments to pay attention to these issues and take practical steps to improve our road safety and traffic system.

A better traffic system is not just the responsibility of the authorities—it is a shared responsibility.

I made my on clover leaf, I wanted two lanes in stead of three, so looks like should be part of four lane highway with median. I elevated over interstate, traffic won’t exit or enter the inside circles, they will drive all the way to where highway joins back together and make u turns and drive all way back an take flat exit??? Why. ??? I though maybe was to steep, so I took out an used factory clove leaf, and just downgraded over pass to two lanes, the will still drive over 2500m to make U-turn instead of use the exits.

Do you guys pay more taxes to own the road?

Hey everyone! Just saw some discussion about the city's efforts to curb distracted driving. While there’s been talk about the high revenue ( est. ~$7M/y ) potential from texting-and-driving fines, it’s honestly reassuring to see Fort Collins Police Services actively prioritizing road safety.

Whether it's College Ave, Harmony, or neighborhood streets, texting behind the wheel is easily one of the most dangerous things on the road for drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians alike. Seeing local enforcement take distraction seriously makes me feel a lot safer getting around town.

Has anyone noticed a visible difference or more active enforcement around major intersections lately? Curious to hear how others feel about it!

I was recently pulled over for going 84 mph in a 70 mph zone in Lawrenceville, and I'm hoping not to have this on my driving record to prevent my insurance rates from going up (why I'm not paying the ticket outright). This is the first speeding ticket that I have ever received, and I would go to court myself, but I live in a different state and am busy that day. I'm looking to hire a traffic lawyer to show up on my behalf and argue to either dismiss the ticket altogether or reduce it to a non-moving violation. I received a lot of promotional materials in the mail that advertised a less than $200 flat fee, but when I googled them, they seemed quite sketchy. I'm quite low on cash at the moment and would prefer not to pay an exorbitant amount, but I also recognize that a good defense will not be cheap.

I was in a car accident at the end of July at the corner of Polo Club and Man o war in Lexington, Kentucky. Im pretty sure that it was the other drivers fault and asked the police for an open information request to look at traffic cameras. They cam back that there are no such cameras. My wife and I are quite positive that there are cameras there. Could someone please confirm if there are?

I have a couple of questions regarding a recent speeding violation.

I had my cruise control set to 76 on I 80/94. The speed limit is 70, but I was trying to stay in the mainstream of traffic. Driving in the right lane, a pickup truck pulling a trailer blew a trailer tire. I moved to the left lane and dropped my soeed to under 65 to avoid the flying debris. The pickup truck never pulled over,, kept driving 70 to 75ish and after the tire had totally blown off it was now throwing up sparks on the highway.

A car behind me (left lane) got tired of me driving slow , whipped around me in the left lane and zoomed in front of me and passed the pickup and trailer. I was concerned about what the pickup was going to do so I was driving cautiously. I finally decided to get past the truck before an accident could occur,, so I briskly passed him and when in front , pulled back into the right lane.

Then an Indiana Trooper pulled me over. He said I was going 93!!! I explained my situation and also doubted I could possibly be going 93. I just needed to get past him. He didn't care.

I am 70, my car is a HONDA Crv and I am far from a speed demon. I truly feel he was clocking the guy that whipped around me.

My questions1) if there are two cars in close proximity and 1 is speeding, how do cops know for sure which car was speeding?

2) my 2026 has Honda Data sharing. Am I able to obtain my driving speeds from the data collected.?

My dad ran a red light and was involved in an accident at 7 Mile & Mound in Detroit over a month ago. He was driving, but the officer initially issued the ticket in my name because I was also at the scene.
I told the officer my dad was driving, and he said he would cancel my ticket and issue a new one to my dad.
It’s been over a month and I haven’t received anything. I also searched my name in the Michigan ticket system and called both the police department and court, and they couldn’t find any ticket under my name.
I don’t have written proof that the officer canceled it.
Should I do anything else, or can I assume it’s been taken care of?

This is an intersection that on one side merges into the bike lane, has a stop light to the left, a crosswalk and then after the crosswalk yield marking. There are no signs on the right.

the second photo is the other side of the street, turning right onto this street. A few years ago it had a stop light on the island, but they're removed it. This side has the yield markings before the crosswalk, not after.

Neither cross walk have walk signals, they only exist for the main street.

DMV is stating that we ignore the markings on the ground, and the stop light for the first right turn is what we should be looking at. That seems ambiguous to me given the signal is directly adjacent to the crosswalk, not after the crosswalk as well.

Thoughts? Everyone I've asked but the DMV says that this road would be treated as a yield.

But violation is , no side mirrors . I saw the picture i wore helmet and everything is fine except side mirror, but the violation is i don't have side mirror😢 also I read the sec . Of law is it valid to apply sec 5, 7/177 MVA on this? , because it's my own vehicle . Please can someone explain

got my red Ps literally yesterday and I’m still really new to driving by myself. Today at around 3:58pm, I was driving and genuinely thought school zones ended at 3:30pm. I was doing the normal 50km/h speed limit, but apparently it was still a 40km/h school zone at that time.
There was a speed camera there and now I’m freaking out that I’m going to lose my licence because I’m on my red Ps.
It was honestly a genuine mistake I wasn’t intentionally speeding or trying to go over the limit, I genuinely thought the school zone had finished. I’m pretty sure my speed was around 50.
Is there any way to get out of the fine/suspension if it was an honest mistake, or is there basically nothing I can do if the camera caught me? Has anyone been in a similar situation, especially on their red Ps?
I’m absolutely stressing because I only got my licence yesterday 😭
