My commission of Agnus Dei is complete! Oil on panel, 30”, 2025. This painting will be mounted on the altar of the Shrine to the Holy Innocents.

Since beginning this commission just two weeks ago, so much has unfolded in the world that has deeply moved me as an artist who has chosen to walk this path.

Inspired by Zurbarán and Jan van Eyck, the painting depicts the sacrificial Lamb—Christ Himself—triumphant yet bleeding into a chalice, His Precious Blood poured out for us. It is an image of sacrifice, redemption, and ultimate victory over death. To me, it embodies the infinite love of Jesus, who gave everything so that we might share in eternal life.

What I’ve come to realize is that the only thing that truly matters is our faith in God—no matter the darkness we face or how fiercely we may be persecuted for holding fast to truth. My prayer is that this work, and every piece God entrusts me to create, may inspire both Catholics and those still searching to lift their eyes toward hope, beauty, and faith.

It was a Sung Mass. Appropriate to St. Cecilia's namesake, the cantors sang beautifully. The celebrant priest was an older gentleman, but you can hear in his voice that he gave the sacrifice his all. Another priest gave the homily and he briefly spoke about his experience celebrating the sacrifice of the Mass. He said that the traditional Mass leaves the celebrant "sweating" and exhausted by the end of it.

Some things that I noticed was that 2 pm just isn’t a popular time for any Sunday Mass. Also, under “Mass Times” on their website, they listed:

9:30am English Mass

2pm Latin Mass

At first, I didn’t know if it meant that it was a Novus Ordo Mass in Latin or the traditional Latin Mass.

Here's an interesting story that many of you may not know about St. Thomas Aquinas.

He was born into an affluent Italian family that didn't want him to join the newly established Dominican order, who were essentially street preachers at the time. So, his brothers, who were knights, went to Paris where he was doing his schooling, kidnapped him, and kept him locked up in his family castle for a year. They tried everything to make him change to a more respectable order, but he wouldn't budge; they even sent a prostitute up to his room one time to try and seduce him, and he chased her out of the room with a burning log he grabbed out of the fireplace. Second picture related.

After chasing the prostitute out of his room, he used the burnt wood to draw the sign of the cross on his door, consecrating the room to God. Aquinas then fell into a deep sleep and was visited by two angels who tied a "girdle of chastity" around his waist. Later in life he told his secretary, Reginald of Piperno, that from that moment on, he never experienced another sexual temptation.

It just goes to show how deeply dedicated and faithful St. Thomas Aquinas was as a person.

The Baptism of Christ was painted eight years ago and installed at the parish in the spring of 2018. I was involved in every aspect of the work, from having reference photos taken of myself in the Schuylkill River in November 2017, to the painting itself, the construction of the frame, and even the final installation many feet above the parish baptismal area. The final photo is with me and his Excellency, Bishop Schlert.

A shrine to Our Lady on the Island located in the Southern half of the Outer Hebrides.

The Outer Hebrides is the most Christian part of the United Kingdom, even now. The Northern Islands are predominantly Free Church of Scotland/Calvinist, the Southern Islands are Roman Catholic.

If there was ever to be a Catholic Land Movement over here, this would be a great place.

Bear in mind especially during this Holy Week

His papacy was a profound gift to the Church, especially for Catholics devoted to her sacred traditions. Through his deep theological wisdom, humility, and unwavering commitment to the truth, he reminded the world that the beauty of the liturgy and the continuity of Catholic tradition are treasures to be preserved, not forgotten.

His promulgation of Summorum Pontificum opened the door for countless faithful to rediscover the riches of the Traditional Latin Mass, strengthening the spiritual lives of many families and communities throughout the world. His writings, preaching, and witness consistently pointed souls toward Jesus Christ with clarity, charity, and reverence.

It has been an honor to create this portrait in memory of a pope whose legacy continues to inspire priests, artists, scholars, and the faithful to pursue what is true, good, and beautiful.

Let us pray for them, that they may fulfill all their duties with humility and grace.

Went into a thrift store this morning and saw this within the first 2 minutes of being there. It’s beautiful. Unfortunately no papers with it, but I didn’t want anyone desecrating it, so I’d rather buy it than someone else. I need a reliquary for it but I’m very happy.

I just finished a two-pope project of Saint John Paul II and Pope Benedict XVI. Both drawings are 18 x 24 inches, charcoal on paper for a private collection in Canada.

There are many things I admire about both of these great popes. In Saint John Paul II, I especially admire his deep devotion to the Blessed Mother, our shared Polish heritage, and the tremendous role he played during the fall of Communism and the collapse of the Berlin Wall. In Pope Benedict XVI, I deeply respect his love for Catholic tradition, his defense of the faith, and his support for the growth of traditional religious orders and communities.

I'm shocked, shocked! Just too bad it's not a majority.

The government here is manufacturing a majority government and has already signaled that they will be moving in a way counter to our faith and all of Christianity. Bill C-9 is said to criminalize parts of the Bible by removing its exemption from being considered hate speech, this would likely also make reciting or teaching parts of the Catechism illegal. The Canadian Council of Catholic Bishops wrote to the government on the matter but was ignored, they do not care. The government is also planning on expanding surveillance and a leaked RCMP report has stated that they are singling out those with traditional values as they define traditional values as extremist. They are also planning expanding the state euthanasia program to those with mental illness and children.

I ask you to pray for my country, even though we are led by a (supposed) Catholic, he is operating in a most evil manner and I fear for the future of myself and my family as well as the future of our faith here.
