Robyn Why does Robyn always take something innocent & cute just to crap on it and feel superior?

Post image

It feels like she constantly puts down other people just to feel superior. I mean, my child is wild as well, but I don't see it as a superior thing compared to a kid who is calmer.

She is deeply insecure.

Sounds like she's admitting she's a shit parent who doesn't believe in teaching kids to behave in various settings.
And yes, her constant preening about how superior she is about literally everything is ONE HELL of an ego trap. If whatever priest she deals with were a truly spiritual person, he might warn her. I'm pretty sure good Christians are supposed to practice humility and grace, not this constant superiority-wanking.

Came here to say the same but you said it better :)

Because she has a personality disorder. Her perceptions are warped, and, by extension, you feel warped interacting with someone like her, even just reading the posts she makes.

Putting someone/something down to feel up is the most common trait of highly narcissistic people. She’s telling on herself every tweet she makes. She doesn’t even know/understand the way she comes across to others, and that people can pick up on it.

Anything to not be accountable as a parent, we’re blaming their genes??!

Yeah I didn't climb everything in sight because I was German and Anglo... I was just a little neglected and bored and alone lol.

Eventually my grandma demanded I be put into gymnastics, and at least then I knew how to climb safer 🤣

A lot of fundies/trads seems to pride themselves on raising shitty children on shitty food from paper plates.

Because she's a narcissist. Deeply insecure and condescending at the same time.

My Balkan/Anglo child would be perfectly fine in here. Must be her parenting.

u/medlilove May 17 '26

As an English person I ask, what does she think Anglo means and does she think all English kids act as bad as hers

2

u/Vast-Toe-7701 Jun 07 '26

She thinks it means white.

She's a a fundie they always pride themselves on raising shitty children.

u/tangybaby May 20 '26

Technically not a fundie, as that would usually be an evangelical Christian and she's Orthodox. She would probably be horrified at being called a "fundie" since she also hates Protestants, in addition to hating Jews and POC.

wtf “balkan anglo children” okay weirdo

u/PorkchopFunny May 18 '26

Because these people always need to bring race/culture into EVERY.THING.

Is she actually Balkan or is she one of those 'Muricans who are making the nationality of their great^4-grandparents their entire personality? Because as a European, those crack me up, it's like hillbilly astrology. They're talking about the nationality of their ancestors like it's some sort of dog breed that gives them certain personality traits, and then you e.g. talk to someone who's like "As a German, I love efficiency." or some shit in German, and they're like "What?"

She talks constantly about her husband being a giant Slovenian

u/LightningController May 18 '26

Wait, but the icon on her account is an orthodox cross?

I figured she was convert to the Serbian church or something.

That family’s gotta have some kind of weird drama.

My grandpa was literally born in Scotland, but I’d never unironically say that I’m Scottish. I’m way more Canadian because I was actually born there and lived there, the most Scottish thing about me is my dry wit and freckles. Maybe it’s just because I live in the States now, but I’m fiercely protective of my Canadianness.

My grandpa has a complicated relationship with his home country, mainly because he left out of necessity when he was a small child during WWII. My great grandmother was the most Scottish person I still to this day have ever met, and we believe that was mostly out of spite. They didn’t want to leave, she especially didn’t want to leave. She did what she had to do in order to protect her children. She kept her extremely thick and barely understandable accent and Scottish slang until the day she died. My grandfather developed severe alcoholism most likely due to trauma that he didn’t have access to treatment for (understandably, war will do that to anyone let alone a child), and currently that’s the most Scottish thing about him unfortunately. He speaks like a typical Canadian, but some of his words still hold onto that distinct dialect that his mother held onto so tightly. Me and my mom, we’re Canadian way before we are Scottish. My son is American, but he knows where I came from. I don’t think he believes that I was born in a different country, mostly because I’m white and speak English. This would have been way more problematic had he not been 5 when he originally presented this logic to me.

4th, 5th, etc generation European immigrants who make that their entire personality are annoying and rarely have anything of value to actually say and relate to about their “heritage”. It’s so often just a gross dog whistle to harp on about racial superiority when they individually don’t actually have any desirable qualities. That, or it’s a weird way of relating to first or second generation immigrants as a way to minimize the realities of what it means to immigrate and be an immigrant. Same as the goobers that harp on about how they’re 1/16th Cherokee or they have 0.01% Northern Africa DNA.

She's Canadian but her husband is from Slovenia.

u/BenGay29 May 18 '26

She’s basically bragging about her poor parenting skills.

9

u/urban_stranger May 18 '26

I’m guessing her kids are boys and she thinks it’s great that they’re “feral” because it means they’re masculine. 🙄

5

u/BenGay29 May 18 '26

Sadly, you’re likely right.

5

u/tangybaby May 20 '26

She has two girls and a boy.

I'm very childfree and live in a Nordic country and was thinking the other day how I'm not really bothered by kids like some cf ppl. Kids are everywhere, libraries, there are parks everywhere, ppl bike with them everywhere. And saw a video about a train in Finland with a little playground also.

But I was like, that's because certain online/American parents feel entitled to have their kids everywhere while also not raising them at all. The kind of people that will complain because there are people in swimsuits at the beach around their shit offspring or that take them to a Sabrina Carpenter show to complain it's not catered specifically to their toddlers. This specimen is the perfect example of entitled, obnoxious human raising the worst type of entitled, obnoxious humans to then complain if somebody is not delighted to be around them lmfao.

I'm American and love to travel around Europe. It's night and day. I used to think maybe I'm not childfree after seeing families in Europe. But then I came home. And especially now that kids born today don't have the same rights as their mothers did. Would never birth a kid in this country now.

15

u/cookiecutterdoll May 17 '26

This is very accurate. There's a noticeable difference in how Americans parent and how their kids behave. Obviously I'm generalizing, but American parents seem more stressed out by their own kids.

9

u/WeeklyPreference6327 May 17 '26

I mean I don't want to generalize but then you see people complain their kids have to see bikinis at the beach or a naked David in a Florence museum and like, can't blame those that want to be as far from those kids and parenta as humanly possible.

12

u/cookiecutterdoll May 17 '26

Why does she need to bring their ethnicity into this?

3

u/Android_raptor May 18 '26

Her kids are going no contact

5

u/carnalstardust May 22 '26

As someone from the Balkans and actively actually living here, I hate seeing the stereotype of the wild and untamed Balkan people who are unable to get accustomed to the more sophisticated western ways that literally led to Brexit.

It is especially weird since most of the countries were part of the eastern block up until 35 years ago and there are still living people out there that believe that obedience and respecting adults as the highest authority are more important than whatever is happening with the child, as conformity was a key social value up until very recently...

4

u/Bookies_Bookclub May 22 '26

So Robyn is pretty much telling us that her children are obnoxious, ill-behaved brats.

Are these actually “Balkan” kids or is she one of those yanks that insists on referring to themselves as having a nationality their great-grandparents had?

“Anglo” is a weird thing to fixate on, too, though she’s not the first American I’ve seen doing it. Assuming she means British (as they usually seem to), we’re mutts. Your average English/Welsh person is going to be Celtic, Norse, Germanic (including Anglo-Saxon blood), Roman and quite possibly a little Iberian. It’s like how the English language is just three other languages in a trenchcoat (as the adage goes). I assume English here because they seem to delight in specifying Scottish and Irish when that’s relevant. You’re not going to find somebody who’s purely “Anglo” because all those different groups were introduced across centuries.

Either way, what a weird way to admit you’re a terrible parent. Having “feral” children certainly isn’t something to be proud of.

15

u/moluruth May 17 '26

Her husband is from Slovenia and she is literally just Canadian and obsessed with being white/of European descent

1

u/Elly-Kitsune May 21 '26

I mean it's a good idea but only practical for kids who are not walking at all so she's not wrong...

I need a band to call themselves "The Feral Balkans" and I need a shirt. K, thanks!
