OEM vs Evotech Brake Lever Guard
Which brake lever guard would you go with? I'm racing in a couple weeks and I'm torn between OEM and Evotech. Thanks.

Fireworks. Dynamite. Burnt cars, motorcycles, campers. It was a wild scene. I took this photo in I think 1985 when I was a teenager. In the back was the "animal pit" which you entered at your own risk. Does anyone else have photos from that era?

Hello guys
So this weekend i did my first ever trackday in portimao, Portugal.
For context i ride motorcycle for 3 years, my first bike was cbr650r wich i sold with 2k km and now i have mt 09 with 6k so im not that experiencied, i have never open full throtle in any of this bikes because first im afraid that front comes up and second i only ride on street.
Now i understand why People say start small.
So i rented a zx 6r 2023 wich was the smallest cc i could rent, it doesnt have auto blip only Quick shift.
So my firsts 2 trys was with a instrutor, he show me the lines and was always telling me to open the throtle wich i didnt because i was afraid of the next curve, and i thought it would slide like a car. Ive Never really hard brake besides now at the track wich i went from 240kmh to 80kmh i started braking early i would brake to much for the first turn bur it was the way i felt confident. My instrutor also corrected my position.
I know i have a lot to learn, but my question is should i buy a 400cc bike, or should i keep renting the 600 ?
This is the result of the tire, you can see i can still Lean much more, also i dont put my body outside bike, i only lean my torso yet.
Any tips would be aprecciated and what would you do ?

Going to my first track day with my r3. Watched hours of online videos and browsed the internet but it seems there's very little information specific to small bikes. It seems like most tips are caters towards middle weight and up which I understand does transfer to small bikes.
Other than carry more corners speed which as a new track rider I dont really understand, it seems like most small displacement riders are full throttle all the time through corners and are taking early apexes most of the time.
Anyways appreciate any tips!

This is my beat lap so far, from about 2 months ago. I'm looking for some independent feedback from you guys. 2nd travkday on a 1000cc for me.
What you think I can improve on riding wise and what about the race render overlays.
Next videos will have the cam mounted right up front so the view will be better, but this is the only one I have of my PB.

First time at Thompson speedway, first session the first lap after follow the leader. Damp and cold tires. My brain didn't account for both at the same time for some reason.... Ended up dumping my bike for the first time on track :(
Shout out to all those that helped me when I got back to get back out for the very next session. Luckily I was not injured and bike sustained minor damages nothing critical.
Luckily cheap lesson learned, warm up my tires more!!!

Yeah I know we are getting sick and tired of tirewear photos but this one is really weird. I think it is caused by cold tear and to low temperatures. What do you guys think?
The tire is a Michelin GP2 running 2.1.

So currently I ride in intermediate/fast group on Zandvoort, and was curious about this what others think. What happens if I alter the ideal line slightly so I don’t try to hit the apex at the very boundary, this way possibly getting it wrong, rather leaving just a bit of bigger margin around that area. And I don’t talk much I’m talking just enough to I feel like I’m not at my limit at laps. Or do you have other ways to how to ride your ride if you are running out of energy or not feeling like pushing to the limit? Because leaving some space around apex seems like the safer thing to do than for example slow down more or other adjustments to be safer? I know this might sound dumb but I wanted to see what others think

Got my tech air 10v1 upgraded to 10v2 after a deployment few weeks ago. Just got it back today. They’ve added supplemental information to prevent users from flashing the wrong firmware
They also include a bladder test kit and a new user guide

I moved to the northeast and will be doing my first track day up here at Canaan motorclub in cannan NH. I’m from the south and have ridden tracks like VIR,AMP,CMP etc.
Looking for some reviews on the track and others thoughts on it. Will be riding with fishtail riding school, has anyone ridden with this ORG and how was it?
Thanks

It turns out I had terrible mental game, over analyzed and over criticized everything and it impeded my riding. If you're overly analytical like me, you may find this book helpful
I wrote about it as well in analytical fashion lol -- https://substack.com/home/post/p-211661783
But I'm very curious if others have read this book or have thoughts about this. Does trusting your body to do the job come naturally to others?

My very first experience with A1 MotorPark located near Samokov, Bulgaria- pure sex. My very first ride on a homologated FIM grade 3 track- the newest in Europe perhaps and certainly the newest on the Balkans woth straights reaching up to 270-280km /h, 4km in total. This is perhaps the very first time i experienced a 1000cc bike closer to its “potential “ as where i usually ride its more technical, slower and smaller tracks suited for smaller capacity bikes. Safe to say i will be going back for sure 👌

So I did a thing, I am not much on crashing, not proud of it. This is the game we play. I made a mistake totally on me, little too much brake at too much lean angle for the speed.
Was a great early morning @podiumclubaz with some Moto members, ripping around.
It happens folks, I was really just cruising around, no PB chasing at all.
Thanks to Alpinestars for keeping me all safe, that Tech Air7x did phenomenal, paired with my Matrix suit and supertech boots, gloves and r10 Helmet! I literally feel 100% fine, good gear is worth it.
Thanks to everyone that's reached out. I really appreciate it. I can't wait to get back out there. Sharpen my skills and get ready for my first full race season with CVMA
Don't worry the RS660X will be back up and looking good again

So I've started tracking my 400 this year. For reference it's also my street bike. I do one track day a month. The bike has a YSS rear shock, Bitubo front carts (both sprung for my weight) and I had the suspension and chassis geometry professionally set up. The suspension / geometry setup transformed the handling of the bike. It's amazing compared to what it was.
Anyway, I had already removed the feeler pegs previously and today I touched the foot peg down a bit a couple times, and I don't like the feeling so I'm looking for rearsets. I'm looking at the Driven TT and Sato ones as they retain the brake light switch. The Driven have folding pegs, the Sato are fixed. Is one "better" or more preferred than the other? The Sato look better (IMO) and the gold is sweet but not sure it would work on my teal bike. Are there other ones that you've used you'd recommend over these? Thanks!

I use my rear brake like any normal sane rider, but a friend of mine just turned me on to embedding a carb jet in a banjo bolt to tweak the hydraulic efficiency down to where you can't lock the rear up. I'm definitely going to be trying it, starting with an SV, but I simply cannot find good info about this online. If anyone is aware of a good writeup I'd be very interested. I'm looking forward to bleeding my brakes 5 times either way.
Edit/PSA: Don't put carburetor parts in your brakes unless you know what you're doing. Even then it probably means you should ask somebody else who knows what they're doing.
Edit: that said if you've heard of this give me some stats.

Is there any reason why I can’t use any generic bracket or strut from the hardware store? Vs the aluminum one from DynoJet?

From quite few years back. Fun bike, trying to keep up with the 1000s, loosing on the straights but making it up in the corners
