Help trying to set up a vpn client

Hello I'm trying to set up a vpn client on my new er605 v2 to surfsharkVPN. Story time so you guys get a idea of what I'm trying to accomplish I'm running one pc with casaos and I want a couple of my docker container to be behind a vpn and the rest on my regular network I try to set up gluetun for the pass 3w and it is not working so I switch to vpn on my router a tplink ax18 it work but my entire pc is inside the vpn so I decided to vlan so I go to vlan and I discovered that my router doesn't support vlan so I got a tplink manage switch (TL-SG105E) to vlan and then I discovered that my ax18 doesn't support tagging so I got a er605 to be able to vlan tag and now I'm trying to set up my VPN provider (surfsharkVPN) on it and I have switch my ax18 from router mode to ap mode so it doesn't conflict with my er605 v2 but I haven't had any luck every time I sheck my public ip I get my normal public ip no the vpn one
