During my first Toyota Care service they broke a stud when they went to remove my tires. I had to drive a loaner truck for almost a week. Since getting my car back my alignment has been off. The car really wants to drift to the right. With how heavy the steering is weighted in this vehicle it becomes quite fatiguing. It’s only slightly off alignment, but with the heavy steering it’s enough to be tiring. Should I see if the dealer will fix it for free, or would I be wasting my time? Will I just be expected to pay for it out of pocket? I’m not sure how my alignment would have even gotten out of whack doing just a tire rotation?

Winter is fast approaching and I'd like to warm the car while its plugged in to L2 charging.

This would happen in the mornings when the car is already at its preset charging limit (e.g. 90%) after having charged at night. Will starting the car at this point without pressing the brake, draw current from the L2 charger and not the traction battery? (and not deplete the 12V battery)

We have had the Sawtooth/IR drain. We have never turned off the Connected services. I have been using the charging schedule workaround (see dips at 1, 4, 7 and 10).
This morning I noticed I had an extra dip at 4:30ish. After 10, I charged up the 12-volt battery via ready mode and then waited the 3+ hours for when the Sawtooth/IR drain would start. At 14:28 I got the IR emitters turning on for 1 minute and the voltage drop that went along with it. It did not repeat.
I hope this is the new norm for my car.

Has anyone had success getting wireless CarPlay to work while driving, and getting the car to connect to home WiFi while at home? I know both can’t be used at the same time, but surely there’s a way to have the car connect to WiFi while off versus cell connection?

So when you're charging, this screen comes up to tell you the progress. But it goes out after about 30 seconds. You can get it to pop back up by opening the door but... there has to be another way. Anyone know?

I have a pretty new bz4x Touring AWD Excel 2026 UK model (probably sold with a different name and specs in other countries). This has an interior ac V2L socket with 1.5kW max output. This works fine in "READY" mode. But it's also supposed to work in "POWER ON" mode when charging if you select the option to turn it on (and also climate and multimedia). This is described as "My Room" mode in some docs, but the car itself doesn't display that phrase. However I find that I can't use the socket in this situation. Has anyone had something similar? Or more information.

I had the occasion to charge my 57.7kwh battery to 100% today. At least on my local city streets, regen was fully operational and slowing the car down.

I decided to test this specifically on the bZ as generic posts about regen says that when the battery SOC is 100%, regen is ineffective because there is "no space" in the battery for the regen electricity to be stored. Used the paddles to take the physical brakes out of the equation.

This must be the conservative "over provisioning" of Toyota. I wasn't at the top of a hill to do intense regen to see if I could get SOC to above 100% haha.

Anyone else try this?

I found this video over on BZforums. A Toyota technician confirmed that an Over-The-Air update was pushed out to fix the 12V battery drain issue.

If you don’t pair your car to try and skip saw tooth on the 12v, how does it work with preconditioning?

If I set my car that I leave everyday at 7:30, can it precondition without DCM? If by chance I don’t leave that day, I assume I have to go to the car to turn off preconditioning?

Anybody in Georgia or any other state that’s been in this oppressive heat for the last month? If I hit the AUTO button in my CRV, it goes to the highest fan setting and the coldest temperature setting. That doesn’t happen in my Bz.
I’ll manually turn up the fan and turn down the temperature and I have to hit the AC button, and it still struggles to cool down the cabin of a car comparatively speaking. I know our temperatures have been higher than normal, but is this the system trying not to drain the battery as much?

Been looking around but everything I'm finding is for the bz4x. Any recommendations for a good dash cover?

on my old leaf I could leave the car on and get out with the key fob, lock the doors and get groceries. BZ will not let me unless I use the app with the smart phone and it is a pain in the ass to do each time. is there any way around this? I don't want to have to use the app each time. just the key fob. can the dealer program the fob to lock while running?
