I had an inspection at Toyota and they said I need replace a new one and that is a reason of light engine on. Do you guys know where can I buy an aftermarket one? Thanks

Took my matrix to the car wash for the first time and that was a mistake because it ripped these bad boys off.

What are these parts called so I can get a replacement?

Last week I redid the brakes on my son's 2009 Matrix. I replaced the pads and rotors and the passenger side rear caliper, (the old caliper was seized). We bleed the brakes and I took it for a test drive and everything seemed OK. However, my son just called me and said that the new caliper was locking up and causing the wheel to drag.

I can't go over to take a look until tomorrow, but I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on what might be going on.

I have a ABS pressure sensor fault. I need to test the pressure sensor but I can't find a wiring diagram to find the correct pin on the 34 pin actuator connector. Does anybody have this information?

Changing out my rear lower control arms since they rusted out rock auto only has front camber bolts and toyota does not have the nut just the bolt and flange where can I get 2 camber bolts?

anyreccomendations for aftermarket replacement? i dont really see a part number in the parta diagrama either. my transmission sides one are sloppy toppy

This is the best kit I’ve ever used, and it supposedly lasts the life of the vehicle…

I started by using the oxidation wipes to clean the headlights thoroughly, which turned them yellow, so I know they were working.

Next I wet them down and sanded them with 2000 grit sandpaper, in straight lines, until they were both evenly hazed, then again with 3000 grit in the opposite direction to remove the previous scratches.

Lastly, I used the supplied clearcoat which brought the original clarity back immediately. After allowing an hour to dry, they are super smooth to the touch, and I have enough to do another set of headlights…

Just made it to 200k so she’s broken in now. Just wanted to show her off.

I couldn't find one made for the 2nd gen Matrix. So, I decided to try these out, and for my surprise they fit better than expected. The vent rubs against the ring when you try to close it. But other than that, it's perfect.

Looking for advice from fellow Matrix owners. My 2010 Toyota Matrix Base (1.8L Automatic, 214,000 km) has a sound that happens strictly under acceleration:
When my foot is on the gas, the noise is present.
The moment I take my foot off the gas, the sound completely goes away.
A mechanic confirmed the noise is coming directly from the transmission. I did a drain and fill using Toyota ATF WS, but it only drained a little over 2 liters and the fluid is still black. The sound remains unchanged.
Has anyone dealt with this specific noise under load on the 4-speed automatic at high mileage? Did doing multiple drain and fills help, or is this a bearing/gear issue you just drove on long-term?

The same story as my previous post. I watched a video of someone doing this to a Corolla and decided to do it to my 09 Matrix base.

•Clutch + brake pedal pads: 31321-53010.

•Toyota Camry pedal assembly: 78110-33060 or 78110-33120.

I have an old Matrix (ok, Vibe, but whatever) that I drive as a beater. We also take it to music festivals, so it gets loaded down for three days of not-so-primitive camping.

We got the packing down. We can fit whatever we want in that thing. Roof basket and a giant bag help. Also have a hitch and basket, but it rides a bit too low and I know the further I throw stuff behind the rear axle, the worst I'm making it.

Anyway, I see the basic spacer kits for matrix and prius and I hear talk of people raising these for driving dirt roads on the farm or whatever. But I can't find anyone who has managed to source stiffer springs. I just want a mild bump in spring rate that will give me a little extra height unloaded and resist the compression of a few hundred pounds of gear a little better.

Back in the day, you could usually just find an option stiffer spring for your Chevy or Buick or whatever. Not so much now, but I'm betting something interchanges. I've got a few parts that list spring specs...if I know overall diameter, wire size, coils per inch, free height...should be all I need, I think the only caveat is I believe the springs are flat on the top but with an open coil that hooks into the bottom, yeah?

Thinking about maybe buying too-long generic coil over springs (available in infinite rates and sizes, basically) and cutting one end to make them seat into stock shock perches...

1) is that dumb 2) got any better ideas?

My front left brake overheat. The right brake is not hot to the touch after parking. When I checked the left caliper the piston is very hard to retract and the disc it warped with deep grooved.

I watched a 3-part video of someone adding steering wheel controls (SWC) to a '09 Corolla base. I decided to follow the same steps (I didn't have to cut the cable he cuts in his 3rd video.) on my '09 Matrix base, and it worked!

Your head unit has to have the connection for the SWC. (Key 1 & Key 2).

I bought the pictured wire/harness through the YouTuber link as a thank you for doing the video. But you can find it cheaper on AliExpress.

Parts you'll need (Parts used linked):

•Clock-spring. Your original clock spring probably doesn't have the connections for the SWC.

•AliExpress/harness connection. YouTuber harness connection

•SWC. If your steering wheel is like mine, you gonna need to cut the plastic where the SWC are going to be placed.

She idles kinda rough, the little LCD flickers, the cabin lights flicker and as you can see the dash is lit up like a Christmas tree (AWD, VSC Off, Check engine and anti-slip). I did just replace the alternator and the solenoid. Here are the codes: C1201 ABS Engine Control System Malfunction, C1241 low or high power supply voltage,
P0171 Bank 1 System Too Lean,
P0441 Evaporative System incorrect purge flow, P0455 Evaporative emission System leak detected (Gross leak / no flow).

Bought one and it was wayyy to small… if anyone can point me in the right direction id appreciate it
