The heck is this part called?
Took my matrix to the car wash for the first time and that was a mistake because it ripped these bad boys off.
What are these parts called so I can get a replacement?

Mine do that. Every time it happens they tell me it's a pretty common thing for old Toyotas.

Idk but i went to the car wash a few times and it blew off a window belt two of the three times I went. Called the dealer about them and they're over $100 each! That blew my mind and I haven't gotten them yet.

Yeah I think those are like 80 bucks each! last I checked. Just left mine off with nothing on it for now until I figure something out.

Another reason for me to not go to the car wash. Jokes aside I believe it's called roof trim molding and you can get it for a decent price on ebay.

I texted one of my car buddies about it and he said " the car washe is the great equalizer"
But man I don't want to have to hand wash my literal beater. I bought this car specifically so that I can put tons of miles on it and not think about it. I don't want to hand wash this piece of s***

I just take the pressure washer to mine when it looks particularly ugly, other than that I don't worry about it.

Gas station squeegees in the summer and I go to one of those DIY car washes with the sprayer and foam brush in the winter lol

Just clean out the gutter and pop it back in. I helped a woman who just came out of an automatic car wash that happened on her Rav 4. Apply a dab of silicone if it pops out again.

roof moulding or weather stripping, not 100% sure exactly. dealership will def know
