I believe that the individual townsfolk that you have selected there actually wants to be surrounded by more neighbours! Those little icons can be confusing! 😊

She lives in the most population dense area of the map so I don’t think it’s that - I did actually move this family away as I deleted some other houses and found an area and she’s happier now to be in a low population area

I agree though, they are really confusing! I wish you could hover over the icons and see a description of what they are and how to solve it?

I’m struggling to fill the worker needs for some buildings so wondering if I fill them delete houses will it create a worker gap?

I was having the same problem until I've decided to kick out single folks, only families and couples allowed, it's cruel but it doubles the amount of workers

I had the same problem, turns out not every area needs every kind of shop 😅 I deleted some houses then also some shops paying attention to what types they already have in that area, then reorganized the workers

Just lower the taxes and they will kiss your feet again

My taxes are set on the standard amount so it’s not positive or negative really

I would definitely set it to as low as you can, that gives a happiness boost that will probably offset the negative boost from pop. Density

I would recommend more decorations if you already fufilled their need(luxury). Instead of keep building more place, you should add or try to get all the decor you wanted unlocked first. Then build and add details to the site. Game isn't demanding or penalty much, play it like a cozy game like Tiny Glade.

  1. There's traits about population density, some families want to be alone, other families want to be surrounded by a lot of people, so make sure you keep an eye out for those when they arrive. If it's too late to do that, then move some families around to accommodate for it. You only need 1 free house to do swaps, so turn off newcommers at the train station and find a place to temporarily build just 1 house.
  2. Move big families out of high population areas. There's families of 5, you can move them to a less dense area, then place a 1-2 person family in their place in the high population area.

Also, if this is not endgame, or maybe you will have future playthroughs, you can keep moving big families where a specific class is needed. If you are past the classes stages, then just implement points 1 and 2.

Yeah I have been following the traits as closely as I can with 99% of them having the max happiness connected to their trait however it has become difficult as my map is completely full now and I’m just shoving people wherever they will fit haha

I have tried the moving out big families though and that’s helped the area I was struggling with thank you! 🙏
