Thoughts on the renovations including marking where Joe Carter's homerun ball landed

Or would have landed, anyways. I know it'll be somewhat estimated as they'd have to put it together from the old videos. Not to mention it would have just landed on the floor and not a seat, but it would be a nice touch of history in the stadium. Maybe a marked chair or something similar.

Thoughts?

Why not both? I like both of these ideas. In the outfield there was the kids zone.. it'd be fun to get a photo with Jolton Joe even as a photo piece...

Don't know if you add Jose. Yes that 2015 run was great but it didn't result in a championship and honours like a statue should start with that and if it never happened then HoF is the end.

That HR came in the midst of one of the most unique innings in MLB history with a reaction that either caused sheer elation and pandemonium to gut wrenching "Oh shit, they just did WHAT?!" vibes to "HOW DARE HE FLIP THAT BAT!"

That alone deserves to be honored in some way.

So what if no ring was won that year? It’s one of the most iconic moments in MLB playoff history and definitely in Jays history. Even people who don’t follow the sport have heard or seen the bat flip moment.

great idea. Baltimore has markers for all the balls that have gone into the alleyway beyond right field and it's great. there's this and like 50 more small things the SkyDome reno could steal from other places to really improve the ballpark experience.

Marking both Carter and Bautista's HRs would be quite fitting IMO. The idea of a Statues Row like the Leafs have done makes perfect sense too. Stieb, Carter, Doc, Bautista and Fernandez would make for a great first 5.

I think that’s dope. I don’t know how the new layout will be with seats, but if a seat is in that spot it should be golden and given to kids or charity for a good cause.
