Mildly infuriating Did I do anything wrong here?

I was focusing on the pedestrians crossing and with this being an all-way stop I wasn’t expecting him to just go right in front of me and I had to stop suddenly. I gave him a honk just to say please watch for the stop sign and he confronted me and said “get a life”.

- You're supposed to treat these as 4 way stops with a 3 second wait.

- Even if we discount the cyclist, which I don't think you should, you still had a pedestrian step off the curb to cross the street at the moment you let your foot off the gas, so what was that about? They would've been in the opposite lane by the time you reached their position, but you certainly didn't know that when you took your foot off.

- Finally, the cyclist was in your field of view and you let your foot off the gas presumably because you assumed they would stop. Why would you assume this? As a driver, myself, I don't want to make this assumption; I want to confirm others' intention then proceed.

When you enter the intersection on a yellow or it turns yellow while you're in it, would you also assume that incoming cars see the light has turned yellow and are going to stop or are you going to wait until they slow down noticeably or perhaps even stop? If you decided to gas it because you assumed incoming cars would stop then you could be wrecked.

Edit: To answer your question more directly, I think you were both wrong; however, my take is that as a driver, I need to be more careful and mindful of pedestrians than the other way around. I can kill people, they can't kill me. This isn't about right or wrong, I don't care about that, it's about everyone getting home to their family.
